I don't know how these football commentators would work very well in an NBA video game other than play by play, but at this point, ANYTHING would be better than Clark Kellogg.

True but if the script is good they could pull it off.. Or maybe bring back "Bob Steele" and "Rod West" from the first 4 games.. Just something different.

Bob Steele was Bob Fitzgerald (Warriors announcer). I love him for Warriors games, and he was good in the earlier NBA 2K games. Nothing wrong with what there is now though.

Bob Steele was Bob Fitzgerald (Warriors announcer). I love him for Warriors games, and he was good in the earlier NBA 2K games. Nothing wrong with what there is now though.

Fitz actually did commentary for 2k games? Wow. Makes sense since he's local to 2k. But so many Warriors fans hate Fitz that they'd boycott the game.

It would be incredible to hear Fitz (and Barnett!) calling out Barnes' ONE HANDED HAMMERS! and Curry's HUMAN TORCH MODE!

I think he was on the mic every year until 2K slowly completed the ESPN shift.

Maybe use them for an in game radio show...Or maybe in Franchise mode for games that wouldn't be nationally televised?

I couldn't see them calling games because that would take away the national broadcast authenticity feel. I really dislike Clark Kellog because he's mainly a college analyst. I always wished 2k would get Marv & Czar lol...

I was too excited for Harlan & Kerr, but not Kellog.

I wish 2k could get Reggie Miller on the mic & as playable.

Lol those guys were great in NFL2K, but I don't think they would work for basketball. Man that commentary was great in NFL2K5.

IIRC they did the training/tutorial mode on 2K6. They were hilarious and it made me kinda sad that it was only training videos.

That said, I like the current setup just fine. Although I've always thought that "Dan" and "Peter" would at the very least make for a killer halftime segment. Damon Bruce is OK I guess, but I bet those two would be a riot in that setting.

I wouldn't necessarily bring THEM back, because they don't really sound "real" (even though they were hilarious) .but I always felt that they should just go with generic pro sounding commentators...because their payroll wouldn't be the same as Clark, Kerr & Harlan, and you could record 100 of more lines for probably half the cost...
