So a sapphire player is nothing more than someone who is performing good IRL and then they can only be had by playing thru (w/e) mode to get sapphire players.

So does that mean that we cannot purchase players anymore?

That wouldn't work for legends, though. Maybe sapphires are the guys who are doing well right now that you get through playing the modes (for free) while you can still purchase other players or open packs for them with VC.

So the whole season thing. Does that involve playing live opponents online or is it just vs the CPU?

Yeah, if it's like last year you would be basically getting a player worth around 20,000 VC but then I wonder if you can sell sapphire players back in the market...

I'm guessing sapphire players are going to be regular players with stat boosts because of IRL peformance?

For example Player A is 86 rated, but he's been playing out of this world, so Player A Sapphire will be 88 rated

I never bothered to play my team fellas. Do you guys know if the team building is based on being within a certain number of points i n order to construct your team(like HeroClix)? For example each user has 1000 points to construct a team and you have to use players that will add up to that amount and not go over. Say Lebron is worth 250 points and you use him which leaves you with 750 points for the rest of your team. Is it just buy/unlock as many stars as you want and stack them on your team?

No its not like that, but Lids brought that idea up at the EXPO to LD2K.
