    Is Offense Too Easy?

Ok I found this game online for $30 and may pull the trigger tonight. Haven't bought Madden in 2 years and fiending for it again. But before I do:

Is offense too easy? I have seen this pop up quite a bit when reading around. Way too easy to run and really can score at will on any possession from any part of the field. That definitely turns me off a little. And some said they even put it on All Madden and made it as hard as they could.

Or is there a solid slider set out there that makes it a challenge on offense?

Believe me, there is a slider set for everyone out there. You have to take the time to find it. This isn't a pick up and play game.

If you primarily play against the CPU or online ranked matches you will find the games to be a little overpowered in favor of the offense. Sliders definitely help out a lot but CPU defense just isn't very good in this game.

So if you need proof, take a look at my dynasty thread in my signature. Using my sliders the 49ers defense stopped my running game and most of my 300 yards passing was in garbage time due to losing badly. Final score I lost 38-24. This will show you that a slider set can make the CPU defense step up and halt your offense. Also I could only muster 50 yards on the ground.

yea offense is to easy on the default modes.... but like others have said find yourself a good slider set there's tons of them in the slider section.

This has nothing to do with the Pats roster now? Who is Brady throwing to the water boy?
Jk had to say it before someone else did. LOL

So True, sliders will set you right. Just a click or so for the cpu passing accuracy, running, blocking and pass shed or blocking will give you some great cpu , user games. Just play with the cpu sliders and leave the user at default, except for interception 35 or lower. Oh, one more thing, play at very fast speed.

I'm the Colts. The Patriots were my dynasty team last year.

                      Re: Is Offense Too Easy?

Defense has gone downhill in regular season Madden for YEARS. But to be fair though, it does come back around in the playoffs. Me and my buddies save the stats in my Madden League annually and there have only been 3 teams in the past 8 seasons of my League who won a Super Bowl giving up 25 PPG or more during their playoff run [regular season not included]

PPG Allowed by Super Bowl Champions in the playoffs
                      2013: Miami Dolphins 19.3 PPG
2012: Green Bay Packers 27.3 PPG
                      2011: Dallas Cowboys 32.8 PPG
                      2010: Indianapolis Colts 12.5 PPG
2009: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19 PPG
2008: New England Patriots 16 PPG
2007: Kansas City Chiefs 35 PPG
                      2006: Baltimore Ravens 10.3 PPG

Defense has gone downhill in Madden over the years from beginning to end, but teams start shutting down in the playoffs. I'm not impressed by the defense in Madden 25 at all so far, so I'll see what happens in the PO before judging completely. But at this rate there is almost no defense.

Welp guys, I was wrong. Months later we're in the playoffs in my league and defense hasn't gotten any better or risen to the challenge like most seasons. Madden 25 is literally wide open. The Detroit Lions were held to 28 points in the Wild Card Round of my league, and that is the LOW. There is a chance that this season's Super Bowl winner will have the worst playoff defense in 8 years.

Very happy with the sliders I'm using I'm 5-6 with the Raiders losing 3 in a row, the last lost being to a 3-7 Titans team 35-23.

The game does have flaws that are very hard to overlook though.

I think CPU run defense is abysmal. Some teams can defend the pass pretty well and get a good pass rush, but I just can't find a slider set that comes anywhere near even beginning to slow down my run game. I've tried putting my run blocking at 0, 10, 20, 30, everything. I've messed with the penalties, lowered false start to see if defense could get a better jump off the snap. I don't know what to do. I was just playing in the Super Bowl against the Patriots and was having a great close game, then I started running the ball and they just couldn't stop anything. I even ran out of single back formations so I wouldn't have a lead blocker, but I just broke huge runs. I just started throwing the ball more cuz they clearly weren't gonna stop the run. In my opinion, the run User run blocking is just waaaayyyyy too good.

Hike the ball then let the CPU control your running back. If I ran it myself I would get close to 2,000 yards every season.. I think the main thing really is your always able to get those 4 or 5 yards whenever you need them.
