Oh man NBA Showdown was so great. Bull vs Blazers and those types were nothing when they released Showdown with all the teams and full rosters.

We'd spend entire weekends having 8 man tournaments with elimination brackets and everything. When we were done we'd have awards for things like MVP, Sixth Man, etc. So much fun.

If I had to post a Top 3 It would be:
    1) NBA Live 95 - I remember they didn't include the rookies but if you entered in their last name in Create a Player they would instantly have all their information and appearance ready to go. Remember to this day doing it for Corliss Williamson, lol.

    2) NHL Faceoff 97. Was a big NHL fan and loved EA's series but there was something about Faceoff that kept my brother, dad, and I playing for an entire year of it. My dad was pretty inept at that game so I would be the Senators (back when they were dreadful) and he was the East All Stars. We would play with line changes but I had to keep my checking line in...for the entire game! We had some close battles I tell ya!

    3) NBA Showdown

      In no particular order :
Mutant League Football/Hockey (counting the franchise as one game here.)

World Series Baseball (the game that made me never forget Jeff Blauser of all people. I was a monster with him.)

Joe Montana Sports Talk Football. Just a blast of a game. I still have both that game and my Sega Nomad.

      Honorable Mention:
The basketball playoff matchup games as mentioned here.
Tecmo Super Bowl series (even the PSX versions were fun to me.)
Both Front Page Sports football and baseball franchises.
