If I remember last year's packs correctly they were priced based off the number of teams in a pack regardless of the content that the pack contained. Most were more than $1 as well, IIRC. I'm betting that the reason they're putting these out in smaller increments is to keep up with the communities wish for much more frequent updates rather than trying to nickle and dime the end-user.

Long and the short of my point here is this: stop complaining about them not doing what you think they should do. Be grateful for what you're getting and stop looking this gift-horse in the mouth! At least updates are coming, even if they aren't complete uniforms every single time.

Plus it's not like they're forcing you to buy these extras they are still putting out while trying to plan for and develop the next-generation of College Football games. If you don't like it for some reason, then don't buy the darned thing.
The only way this pack is acceptable to put out is if they are currently working on another huge pack with actual uniform parts to address the out of date default uniforms.

As for the gift horse comment, we're paying for these which negates that proverb from being applicable, if we're going to be putting down money (no matter how cheap it is), then we absolutely should take a close, and scrutinizing look at what we are purchasing.

Our main complaint is that we don't really care about gloves, they are a nice addition, but should be the last thing on EA's mind when it comes to updating uniforms. I have no idea what their process for this is, but if they are spending any significant amount of time getting gloves into the game then they are doing it wrong. The department in charge of updating uniforms should be putting all their focus on updating default uniforms before focusing on gloves (if gloves are super easy to update that's one thing, but if they take effort that could be applied to jerseys, pants, and helmets then they should take the back seat in these updates).

There are glaring examples of issues with uniforms in this game (VT is in Year 2 of 2 sets of TV numbers on their Orange jerseys, Rice has 2 sets of TV numbers on their uniforms, which is odd because they have no TV numbers in real life, Arkansas State's Red Alternates have 3 TV numbers (2 on the sleeve, 1 on one shoulder), when those jerseys don't have TV numbers). How are these errors not being addressed? They screwed these up when they shipped the game (and in VT's case had an entire year to fix it, but didn't), these should have been addressed in the free pack, or at the very least one of the following 3 packs. Instead we get gloves for teams whose uniforms are out of date, as well as Bowl helmets (stuff worn in December, well before the mid-April cutoff date).

We're happy about the more frequent updates, however we still have a right to complain about their contents. And considering last year we only got 1 update for teams not supplied by Adidas or Under Armor, we had plenty of reason to complain, and 2 or 3 weeks in between releases would still be infinitely better than the rate it was last year.

Our problem last year was frequency AND content (only Adidas until December when 2 Under Armor packs came out), to say that EA is doing the right thing by addressing only one of those, and thus is immune to criticism is ludicrous.
