I see that Amazon.com has the digital download all ready to go for $29.99 on Oct 1. Awesome. Last year, for some reason, it took weeks to get 2k13 up on Steam. Anyone know if Steam release is up for Day one?

Just realized Amazon has 2k!4 under Steam DRM. Will try to not get my hopes up like last year and see on Oct 1.

I was pissed cause last year amazon had the game rdy for launch, and less than 48 before release....all of sudden the game was pushed back 2 weeks!!!! but you could still get the disk version......I SEE THE SAME BS HAPPENING AGAIN!!

Ill cop on release day oct 1 which i dont see them pushing back the digital version imo

Fam!! The digital version was pushed back last year! And like i said 36-48 hours before official release. if you go to steam right now....they dont even have the game in there databank!!!! So yeah this is bugging me...cause i want the digital version at release! not wait 2-3 weeks later and get it..but oh yeah you can grab disk version. Fudge that!!

Best be pessimistic. If I recall right, Steam has never been ready for any 2K basketball game on launch.

yes you can mod the steam version...

I don't think there's anything hybrid with this years version....I'm ok with this....first mod I always looks for are MSG and the other missing stadium names....

Even if 2k14 is like 2k13 i wont be mad and ill still end up getting it for the pc

Well game is still not available on Steam yet, Rumor has it it'll pop up when they update at 1pm EST. Lets see.

The most important thing is gameplay and not graphics. I hope they nerf the player-development in Association Mode. You can't play it after Year3 or so - all the Rookies get 85+ way too fast. After 2017 or so - evry team has at least 2-3 85+ players.

Thats if your using 2k generated rookies and roster. After the season starts I normally do a massive roster overhaul. 90% of players in my association have 50 or under potential. Most role players are rated 65 and under. Takes me about an hour or so but results are great.

Nope! Was using only Custom Draft Classes. But even with all Potentials below 85 (only wiggins randle with 86/90) Rookies were still way too strong in 2K13. Even with Potential of 83 players developed really fast into Superstars and the Superstars did not lose Rating fast enough.
