Thanks that's what I thought the red effect was for, but that's sick the line is so blurred between real life and the game.

I know some people are going to reply but be smart. I'm not a fanboy of any bb game. I've owned 2k10-13. 2k facial animations and faces look spot on. But 2k overall is less detailed than nba live. Nba players in real life are tall lean and slender. Nba live nailed that! Maybe peopele are use to looking at body builder bodies from the 2k franchise. I"m tired of that. 2k next gen has not changed. Less veins or muscle definition. Why does everyone have huge arms and legs. What's with the imbalanced wingspan with height? Kevin Durant and Parsons is prime example of that. KD is slim as hell in real life with a long wingspan. Everyone legs look the same with less fidelity and detail. Again live nailed these fine details and crowds and net look like crap smh. Nba live still has me sold till more gameplay. People are overhyped because we haven't heard from next gen 2k since jun and nba live has yet to show other players besides kyrie. Once the gameplays with more players are involved we will know the real bb game.

This astounded me also.....then when it cuts to LeBron shouting you could immediately tell that it was game (not saying it was bad, just much more distinguishable).....

That said, can anyone say if the "game" LeBron at the beginning was CGI? If not, wow..... WOW! If so, then I am still wowed at the rest..... just curious I guess......

The main mention HAS to go to Harden. I jumped out of bed to replay that part over and over...... couldn't believe my eyes!

Those saying it's only 5 seconds of gameplay footage, you may be missing a bit. Hint: LeBron. Look closer-

...yeah ok.... one can't help but wonder if that was just Ronnie's way of saying "it wasn't real LeBron for 100% of the beginning sequence" as opposed to "that's gameplay LeBron".....

If that makes sense?? Haha... sorry if it doesn't.... either way, the rest was INSANE anyway.....

VERY curious about the Durant model now that Mike's chimed in about that...... and it makes you wonder who else's have been fine tuned.....

Sorry, edited out the Live part.... haha.

Seems to me whenever it did that red thing around him it represented the switch from real life to video game James

I'm optimistic about Live because I haven't seen how it looks or plays from a gameplay perspective. They were smart enough not to release sub-par games the last 3 years, and that makes me feel that if they are releasing a game, it will be worth it. But, if you have been back there recently, I have stated that they are dropping the ball. I defended them up until their own self-imposed deadline to release information/footage. Summer is over and we haven't seen any real 5v5 gameplay. We haven't seen anything from them in a few weeks, which is not good.

I've also posted positive impressions on the few current gen 2k14 videos I've seen. I'm 'pessimistic' about 2k because I've had the same issues with the last 5 games they have put out (yes, I've bought the last 5 NBA 2k games). They are good at hyping things up and saying all the right things, and I get sucked in every year thinking spacing and AI will be better. Their trailers always look great, but is never indicative of what the game will actually look like while I'm playing it. So I have learned to take 2k with a grain of salt.

If you want to say I favor one company or game over the other, so be it. Think what you want. I'm a fan of basketball and video games. I want a basketball video game that plays close to real life. I reserve judgement until I see actual gameplay.

I like the little subliminal statements they are making with the song selections lol. I wonder if Lebron is picking them himself.

I'm not referring to graphical fidelity. I'm referring to what it looks like in motion. You can't tell anything from videos like these because they are cut together to eliminate anything not perfect looking.

Like I said, the real potential in next gen lies in what devs can do in terms of AI, player movement, etc.

Impressive trailer, but I'm more concerned with immersion. Will the character movements in-game mimic real life on and off-ball? Will players seem less robotic? Will 2k get rid off syncing, when 2 players are doing the exact same animation at the same time? Will playing against the cpu also feel less robotic?

Live has actually shown a tad bit more improvement in that regard in their trailers.
