Is 2k14 for Current Gen IMPROVED Enough to be a MUST BUY

Ok as alot of you guys got the game last night or earlier, I want to know is the game worth buying instead of keeping 2k13? I will be attaching a POLL for you guys to vote and let other Users see your opinions as well. The poll will be open for awhile as I want to give you guys time to test the game out. Its just a Database Update. They clearly focused everything on Next-Gen.

i really don't understand why 2k talked us about they added 3000 animations. and nobody told about a better game today!!

i voted yes for offline players.

this is literally 2k13.5. it's what 2k13 should've been. there's enough gameplay enhances to warrant picking it up vs getting frustrated over the same bs in 2k13.

things like being able to move around the court with out getting stuck in quicksand or magnet bodies is a big big plus. there's other little improvements that make it refreshing, but not totally new.

am i bummed myplayer was barely touched? association barely touched? yes. but i get it, next gen is the focus.

def not worth $60, imo.

Definately not. Especially if you are in an Association, found a great slider set, or a great roster that took a team months to develop (Trifecta) that can last for the next 45 days.

With NG only a month and a half away, there really is no point unless you just want to play some quick games.

I'm sorry but if you plan on getting next gen there is no way to justify this purchase. Be smart, be patient, and hold onto $60 for a month and a half lol.

I wont be buying NEXT Gen, so all feedback I get here will go straight to if I get Current GEN version.

Right now, I have rented a copy. I can see myself eventually making the move(if I don't jump to next gen) but I don't feel that it is a MUST buy. At least until the REDMC for 2k14 is available.

Just played at my friends house and it definitely the best basketball gameplay ever, by far. But the rest of it is stale as hell. There nothing else to do beyond quick games with friends or online play.

I suggest you rent it because it really is just a patched 2k13 with LBJ DLC mode.

Gameplay is a 9/10 though.

i bought it because i probably wont go next gen until holiday time - that makes it worth it for me. in the little bit of time i had with practice mode and reading what i have on the boards, im happy.

Granted I've only played one game so far, it felt noticeably different than 2k13. Primarily in the spacing and around the rim play.

Trying to play on the default controls is going to take some getting used to, was getting it handed to me on Pro/Default until I switched back to 2k13's. Still ended up losing that game.

Its definitely an improvement over 2k13, but not quite there to be significant enough to validate a purchase

They said the added a lot more animations again this year and they were right, the thing is it compromises the control at times for the animations to play out

Controls dont feel smooth it feels a bit laggy as u try to stay infront ballhandlers and contest shots....driblling is not 1:1 its more like commands cause u can hain moves together by simply pushing multipke directions on the pro stick and then watch them play out
