Let me state upfront even though I currently do not enjoy Madden, this thread is simply about pointing out that there is actual game play video available for next gen Madden 25, other than the trailers. I am NOT trying to persuade anyone of anything concerning Madden, we are all entitled to our own opinion but not our own set of facts. I think there has been some unintended confusion and some intentional marketing distraction which has marginalized the other available game play footage and emphasized the trailers. Take a look at these videos, two trailers and two other game play videos, ALL OF THEM ARE NEXT GEN MADDEN 25, compare. Also feel free to post any screen shot comparisons of the varying videos in this thread.

i don't know how a proper encode would change all the same animations, and td celebrations. Also it looks very 'dark'. in an odd way it reminds me of madden 06 when i first saw it. Obviously better graphics but it had a dark grainy look to it. What a buzzkill by EA.

My big thing is encoding or not the Miami v New Orleans game shown looks worse than the AP tech demo from E3. From a player movement and animations standpoint. Even in the trailer Chris Johnson does not move like AP did during the E3 demo.

I didn't think the E3 demo was perfect, far from it, but it appeared they were going in the right direction with the player to player interaction and certainly could have improved on it by November release. The ESPN video and the EA trailer show a completely different style of collision animations not just the animations themselves. It's the same style we have seen for the past two years of Madden.

As others have pointed out the still renders of next gen that were recently released lack a lot of the detail that the E3 renders had.

Now I will have to admit in the EA trailer the lighting was fantastic. Up there with FIFA in terms of stadium lighting and probably the best I have ever seen in how the lighting effects shadows on players.

That being said I can't get over that old feeling of being shown one thing early and then a lot of the things shown just vanishing into thin air.

In the end I'm still impressed with the lighting and graphics of the game, but very disappointed it seems like they couldn't execute on the engine they seemed to have shown at E3.

Because the player movement in the ESPN and EA videos look NOTHING like the running back movement in those videos. See that big ACTUAL GAME FOOTAGE tag on the video? What happened to that game?

I hate it that when it comes to Madden there is always so many question marks. There's never a year when we can all marvel at it, much like what 2K has done with NBA 2K 14 for next gen. It shouldn't have to be this way. But I'll just wait on the gameplay and AI trailers to come out. If it doesn't look like the E3 trailer in terms of movement and animations, I'll label net gen a bust too. I want this game to be as good as I hope it to be, I really do, but I can't forget we're dealing with EA.

I remember watching one of their Motion Capture videos some time ago, and they had the QB (Not an actual QB at all) shuffle backwards and forwards the exact same way in these most recent Maddens. Even the QB avoidance moves, the way he did them was exactly the way it is in the game. I blame the people doing the mo-cap just as much as the people in charge of putting them in the game.

Yeah the mocap direction has proved to be bad. What these guys allow to be in the game just shows bad judgement. I really don't think they care how the game looks, as long as they get it running and done. Some of the animations just boggle my mind of how off they are from NFL athletes.

Their animation engine is atrocious, always has been. There is nothing wrong with gameplay based around animations, as long as they're done right. See APF and 2K5 for glorious animations. Great physics would be ideal, but I definitely don't feel like physics based gameplay is a must yet.

At this point, I really wish EA would clean house and fire everyone at Tiburon. I'd rather a new batch of Developers and programmers take over and code Madden from scratch rather then continuing along the same tired path.

As you can see clearly, there is no improvement in regards to player animations, tackling, or atmosphere. With the PS4 and XBOX ONE launching soon, there should be no reason for anyone to say " Mmmmm.....Well I believe ESPN2k5 or Backbreaker does this better". Those games were on inferior hardware!!!!Those games shouldn't even be in one's thought process when it comes to Madden 25 on Next Gen.

Where's the player specific running animations?
Where's Authentic QB drop back?
Where's the mouthpieces? (Marshwn Lynch)

Why am I still asking for these things in the year 2014?????? WHY?????

Remember when Cam Weber said the Tiburon team learned from their mistakes when launching Madden 06 for XBOX 360? What mistakes did they learn from because I can clearly see not much has changed....

I refuse to believe that Dolphins-Saints video was next gen because it looked and played just like my PS3 version. The animations, player movements, players falling down all over was the same (and poorly done). Those are all things I expected HUGE improvements in. If that is what I have to look forward to on the PS4 then I won't be buying a PS4 until Uncharted 4 comes out. I see no reason to upgrade for Madden.
