Has anyone heard if support is going to continue for NCAA 14, past the bloodletting stage of employees and positions on the dev team?
So, updates?

Re: So, updates?
Me too man, I am holding out a little bit of hope.
Hopefully we get some details as to how long the game will be "endorsed" by EA going forward"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: So, updates?
i bet they need employees to do this however, so my guess is, things will start trickling out going forward."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Re: So, updates?
The team is completely dissolved......you can't have any updates or support if there is no team there anymore.Comment

Re: So, updates?
True, but we don't know what was already completed, or if it's going to be passed onto the members who were absorbed by the Madden team.Comment

Re: So, updates?
Didn't their statement from a few weeks back say they'd continue to support the game?
I'd say there is still some hope.Comment

Re: So, updates?
Wouldn't make sense for EA to make an update from a fiscal perspective. Why invest $ into a dead series? They don't stand to gain any more money by making an update, so it would be fiscally irresponsible of them to employ someone to build said updates.----------------------

Therefore, it would seem blatantly obvious to even the most crass money grubbing CEO and his business advisors that to completely drop a game's support after only one (day 1) update--PS/PS2 era that might fly due to their static nature, but no longer-- is a colossal mistake regarding consumer trust/support down the road.
Two of my best friends (major EA fanboys, by the way) claim they will never buy another EA product if they leave NCAA football '13 like this. I, not as extreme in my judgement, just think it is strangely disappointing.Last edited by exeter; 10-01-2013, 07:41 PM.Comment

They won't risk releasing a patch that could cause problems knowing that there are no resources to fix those problems.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

Re: So, updates?
Money may be the end goal for all companies (not people), as you stated above, but there is HUGE issue of business ethics and that (particularly in the case of a sports game in they worked long to build up a strong fan base) must, most importantly, be their relationship with the people who buy their product.
