Really sad to see the names of some of those affected. There are some great folks mentioned in Owen's article.

NCAA Football 08 was the first game I shipped when I was starting my career, so the series will always be special to me.

I hate it when people try to lie and make us gamers feel like we are going to miss out on something that was never going to happen. I believe that they were going to implement the dynasty feature where you could receive help from boosters like in NCAA Basketball. They stadium builds and Jersey crap is just a lie. Team Builder is for that BS. Its just a shame the EA Football franchise is only going to be Madden. Also why didn't those a holes sue 2KSports? they made college football and basketball games using players likeness.. Oh yeah because 2K doesn't have the pockets of EA.

As with the NCAA series as a whole, I would have waited until I saw it before believing anything that came out of their mouths concerning new features.

Saying that though, I hope these fellas land on their feet somewhere very soon. No one deserves to go out like that...unless you're Enron executives.

Well since it's the last game and done...

Trying to see if we can work through the Uniforms DLC to edit/altar uniforms/stadiums/player faces etc...

Not knowing how long the TB Server will be live (were we can pull all the .png files for uni's/stadiums/player faces), I need to download as much as possible so when/if we can figure how to inject through this save, we will have all/most of the necessary templates/.png's on disk/HDD installed game.

No way the "higher ups" would have allowed the game to add in that kind of customization. It doesn't appeal to the casual fans. I imagine there are tons of brilliant ideas that get cut every year and watered down because of that buffer.

NHL is not made by the same dev studio as NCAA and Madden.

The team had a chance all these years with Teambuilder to take the game to another level with customization and creating a School. It sucks that people lose their jobs but that's the way the world works, that's life. EA as a company has gained off of the exploitation of the college athletes for years and this is the consequences of doing so. Those who the company feels are too valuable to lose will join the Madden team and hopefully take that game to a new level. Overall i'm just frustrated they pissed away this generation of consoles (PS3/360). They started off with a bad foundation and a mix mash of good/bad ideas and then from there they were always trying to cover up the mistakes. They were using band aids when they needed stiches. Once the SEC/Big 12/Big 10/ACC/ Pac 12 break away from the NCAA and start doing their own thing then I see a football game in the future with an agreement between those schools. But until then, a Teambuilder like feature for Madden on next gen in the near future would be a smart idea.

I really don't like that Idea because I mean we wouldn't actually start playing the game until like well who knows when

Plus People already gives guys headaches just editing rosters alone so I doubt anybody would want to do that

[CENTER](...)EA was planning to perhaps introduce a serious customization element into next year's game to allow for custom stadium building, custom uniforms, team's, etc. in a way that's never quite been done before in sports gaming.

Also, there was some talk of doing some enhanced storytelling within dynasty mode to spice it up a bit.

Oh yea, I'm suuuurrree that they planned to finally do what everyone had been begging for them to add for years.

"Oh, NCAA 15 was the one and we were really gonna try this time, but gee wiz now we can't!" - Right... this is just PR bs to save face and keep EA in a good light with it's fanbase. IMO - good riddance. The game had no direction, barely improved year to year, and offered zero customization or fun factor.

I have no doubt that they planned all of those things for the last half decade before it got axed due to resource allocation.

I think the only reason they were planning to make NCAA Football 15 fully customizable was because of this law suit probably. To little to late, but I do feel bad for the workers though, not their fault management didn't give them enough creative freedom. As for the game, it wasn't that good of a game anyway, it was just the only college football game. Hopefully another dev makes a college football game, or they come back in a few years and make it bigger and better than ever, or some of them get assigned to Madden to make that game better.

release it as dlc charge $20 if you want, just let me customize cpu coaches more, team tendencies and playcalling.....

these were highly educated people they will survive, now they feel like how i felt when i play this product....
