Re: Next-Gen Madden NFL 25 Twitter Q&A w/ Art Director Jean Adams & Producer Seann Gr
I've seen it in communication from EA when they have been asked this question. In addition there is also budding potential copyright issues and you can be sure EA will not want to go anywhere near that after they just shelled out $40m.Comment

Whew! Glad they got Fisher & Reid's mustaches to look exquisite , that would have been a game breaker for me.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

either way I agree with your main point, but I dont neccesarily think laziness is completely correct, no doubt there are hard workers there, but just because youre a hard worker does not mean that the end product is automatically going to be outstanding, as we can obviously see, the other next gen games all look outstanding visually, so EA cannot seperate themselves on that. nba 2k14 already more accurate player representation (visually) from what weve seen so far. The problem I have is ea's excuse would be "well there are so many more parts to a football player so its more difficult."
Its hard for me not to think that alot of the management and certain other people employed by EA think people have a vendetta against EA sports for no other reason than just to pick on the big guy and that we will whine and complain no matter what they put out. I dont care about the exclusive license, I dont care what company it is, after 20 years and modern technology and the sport right in front of your face, the animations especially should look like real life, (theyre far from it still being very generic) and when it doesnt people are obviously going to start placing blame on the reasons why it doesnt.Comment

The copyright issues can be solved by making a bunch of generic tattoos.Comment

They can't reasonably think this. For no other reason than FIFA. People love their offering because they have taken the time to move their game forward with innovation. First it was the physics engine. That was a disaster the first year but EA stuck with it despite fans groans and delivered an engine that fans love because its realistic. Then they listened to fans that disliked the arcade ping pong nature of FIFA 13 and added a level of realism I honestly didnt think EA was capable of. The reason behind all this, the little guy Konami kept putting out a gameplay first focused game and despite the fancy licenses Konami's game was constantly a thorn in EA's side so they worked to make their game better. Its hard for me not to think that alot of the management and certain other people employed by EA think people have a vendetta against EA sports for no other reason than just to pick on the big guy and that we will whine and complain no matter what they put out. The issue with Madden is that they will try something and then people complain about it not being fully executed and instead of taking their lumps and working on it for the next year they usually end up cutting it and starting over with something else. It really seems like when left to their own evaluations they can not for the life of them determine what fans want. Look no further than the 40% drop in year over sales that Madden experienced. And that is with no other NFL game out there.Comment

Also, most of your elite tatted up players are black. their tattoos would be very hard to see just as they are on the tv in real life. I dont even think I can think of 5 white, latino, hawaiian etc players that have very prominent visible tattoos. so even if the NFL did allow it there wouldnt be much need to work on something you could barely if at all see.Comment

I understand the whole tattoo scenario now I suppose, but it's mind blowing why Nike gloves, mouth pieces and team specific cleats can't be properly implemented. I know there's probably reasoning behind that junk too, but*honestly these legal excuses are getting to be tiresome.either way I agree with your main point, but I dont neccesarily think laziness is completely correct, no doubt there are hard workers there, but just because youre a hard worker does not mean that the end product is automatically going to be outstanding, as we can obviously see, the other next gen games all look outstanding visually, so EA cannot seperate themselves on that. nba 2k14 already more accurate player representation (visually) from what weve seen so far. I'm with most people right now. I could care less if the uniforms are a little off or the graphics looks great. All I care is how good the game play looks at the end of the day. I thank the EA for the answers to those questions. I'm not going to cry about it. More info is coming soon enough and hopefully in a matter of weeks we will get some real time game play footage that will help us get a feel of what next gen game play is going to look like.Comment

Thats exactly what Im saying, people won't see it, unless you use a lot of white ink on your tats to cause a stark contrast. Im a titans fan, watch cj no k every sunday. Hes covered in tats, but watching him on tv unless they have a close up of him on the sideline you cant tell hes tatted up at all. so why waste the time on something people wont see unless there is a camera close up on them?
apples and oranges, different game, different amount of clothing. nfl has jersey sleeves, armbands, arm sleeves, gloves etc. but most importantly the nba game camera is zoomed in much more than the nfl game so its easier to see things like that.Comment

No offense my dude, but this is one of the mentalities that Tiburon has that has this game so far behind. Why waste time on something we don't think people will notice or care about? Because it makes the game authentic. It's realistic. It's in the game. It's the little things that take sports games over the top.Thats exactly what Im saying, people won't see it, unless you use a lot of white ink on your tats to cause a stark contrast. And honestly if the presentation was done properly, we would see faces and tats on the players, because the close-ups and zooms we see on television during a game would be in the game. Just my perspective.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite
