Re: Twitter Chat w/ Art Director Jean Adams and Producer Seann Graddy
Yeah except for the fact we have been asking for this since Madden 06...It comes down to an evaluation of priority. Everything can't be done in a year, so when deciding a to add it will take away from progression in another area. If you think it is the most important wish item for player accessories, and everyone agrees, I will pass your feedback to Jean.Comment

Thank you for the response, it is greatly appreciated. I think the majority of people here value feedback directly from EA, I hope you guys continue to visit and answer more questions in the future. It comes down to an evaluation of priority. Thank you for the feedbook Emmdot, it's appreciated. It comes down to an evaluation of priority. It just feels that OS has been somehow slighted this year with hardly any GCers checking in or reps from EA.
Not sure if that's because of past reputation of high signal noises from here, etc.....
Some people don't have a chance to check on Twitter on a daily basis or wherever the new next info is coming from.
Not a reflection on you personally Emmdot, but your company.
Let me ask you this.
What does your company put at a high priority?
I know this site and other sites have put penalties and animations high on the priority list working correctly for several years and they still aren't working.
So, that leads me to believe that the communities priorities are not the priorities of the company.
Frankly, that is probably why the signal noise appears to be higher over here. There's is a definite disconnect.
I've been one of the staunchest defenders of Madden because I've been playing this game since some of the posters were in diapers and before; however, Madden is starting to lose me because I see areas of the game that continually to be ignored over a console generation, and if they aren't continually ignored, they are putting new ideas in and new ideas out in less than two years.
There needs to be better continuity in leadership and employees and strive to make this the best NFL football game ever or how are they going to keep long time consumers such as myself.
If I had to make a decision today to purchase NG Madden, I would skip out on it based on what I've seen so far.
Thanks for listening, back to my meds. LT, help.Last edited by roadman; 10-03-2013, 08:33 AM.Comment

Re: Twitter Chat w/ Art Director Jean Adams and Producer Seann Graddy
Roadman - Community is definitely a priority at EA. Just remember that OS isn't the only community. The majority of Game Changers have websites of their own.
I try to visit as often as possible, but I think the past couple of days show why some members decide to stay away from the forum.Last edited by Kevin26385; 10-03-2013, 08:41 AM.Comment

Kevin, and that's what I alluded to in my post above by signal strength. One can easily put the louder one's on ignore, don't you agree?Roadman - Community is definitely a priority at EA. Just remember that OS isn't the only community. The majority of Game Changers have websites of their own.

I guess, my point is, why allow a few "louder" posters vs the good constructive posters ruin the experience.
The ones who are louder and boisterous, report them, is my suggestion.
Kevin, I didn't mean you personally as I've noticed you've been around showing screenshots over the past few months.
I guess my point, then, would be, why bypass OS? Aren't GCer's missing out representing the whole community?
To me, that's just thinking that they are representing only the ideas at their own website which is different than OS's.Comment

A 40% decline in year over sales seems to indicate they may be a little out of touch with more of the community than just the OS crowd.Roadman - Community is definitely a priority at EA. Just remember that OS isn't the only community. The majority of Game Changers have websites of their own.

OS has been no different than a significant number of websites after the bungle that was the opening day of marketing material so trying to imply that the last two weeks of this forum is somehow just too much for game changers to bear is a bit of a stretch. N4G, IGN, ESPN, NIKE just to name a few were talking about how awful the footage was.
OS is a very sim focused crowd. It feels like people associated with Madden just don't want to hear the same things over and over from the sim crowd because EA really doesn't care to target that market and forums like this are always going to be filled with people complaining about the game when it doesn't cater to their needs.
Can you honestly with a straight face tell me that some of those questions in the Q&A were top priorities for any significant group of the community? The Bills collars, Redskins stripes, mustaches? This is why people start taking away that EA is not interested in what the community wants, but rather low hanging fruit that is easy to provide.Last edited by Dogslax41; 10-03-2013, 08:49 AM.Comment

Re: Twitter Chat w/ Art Director Jean Adams and Producer Seann Graddy
Priority? It should be mandatory since many players wear them during Sunday, Monday, and Thursday games. You say everything can't be done in a year, We haven't had mouth pieces since Madden 2001 I believe. In my personal opinion, I believe EA Tiburon's priority's are in the wrong place. For instance, 3D grass was touted as the big feature in Madden 2007 and now it's being introduced as a new feature this year for Next Gen consoles. Why is that?It comes down to an evaluation of priority. Everything can't be done in a year, so when deciding a to add it will take away from progression in another area. If you think it is the most important wish item for player accessories, and everyone agrees, I will pass your feedback to Jean.Last edited by djordan; 10-03-2013, 08:52 AM.AKA DEEJAY8595Comment

Understandable. However, I think you are downplaying the amount of "loud" posters on this forum. Personally, it can be frustrating to visit the forum and try to interact with the majority of users here. I understand the criticism, but a lot of members here just hate EA and can't accept anything but a perfect game every year.Kevin, and that's what I alluded to in my post above by signal strength. The beauty of the program is we have so many diverse communities. I don't think much is missed because the group has sim gamers, competitive gamers, casual gamers etc.
At the end of the day, I think OS gets passed up because the group does represent a lot of different communities that hold the same philosophies as many members on OS...without having to sift through the noise.Last edited by Kevin26385; 10-03-2013, 08:52 AM.Comment

How many views does the uniform thread have? Re: Twitter Chat w/ Art Director Jean Adams and Producer Seann Graddy
I can understand how frustrating it much be to read some of the things about the product you represent, but if this community is so bad and so anti EA then why is the FIFA section so fantastic and helpful that it has actually been referenced on other websites about the forums support of the game? EA has put out a below market football product for the entirety of this generation and the reason that you have so many "loud" people in addition to the constructive people is because the license has taken away their ability to choose to play something else. They have no other choice but to play the game. Combine that with EA's admitted missteps in current gen and it's not an OS community issue. Its a you are in the position to have to please everyone because you are the only game in town issue.Understandable. However, I think you are downplaying the amount of "loud" posters on this forum. And saying people can't accept anything but a perfect game is just as bad a cop out as people saying the game doesn't have mouth pieces I am not buying it.Comment

Re: Twitter Chat w/ Art Director Jean Adams and Producer Seann Graddy
Exactly. I really urge the Devs that handle accessories to visit the thread I pasted below. We dont need just a few additions this year, we need an overhaul as far as cleats, gloves, tape, wristbands etc. It needs to be THE priority as far as presentation. The faces and dreads already look good so we gotta get the style in the game now. another major thing with cleats besides different style is the color combo. we need to be able to assign a color combo to each player and not have it as a blanket for the whole team. this goes for all teams, but being a titans fan Ill use them as an example. we need the navy/columbia blue combo instead of just white or black with the navy or columbia.

Everyone has the choice to read interviews, watch videos, read reviews, play demos etc before purchasing the product. You do have a choice.I can understand how frustrating it much be to read some of the things about the product you represent, but if this community is so bad and so anti EA then why is the FIFA section so fantastic and helpful that it has actually been referenced on other websites about the forums support of the game?
