how to get realistic tackle #'s?
well, try as i might between changing play style, difficulty, controlling 1 player, controlling many players, i just havent for the life of been EVER been able to get realistic tackle numbers in my games for my defense. The other team will have leading tacklers in the 7-15 range while my leading tackler will be at about 5. This makes it hard to get good season/career #'s for tackles, especially with DL who i am lucky to get 1-2 tackles a piece with in a game.

Re: how to get realistic tackle #'s?
Its directly tied to how many plays the other team runs. If you are constantly causing 3 and outs your not gonna get realistic tackle numbers. If you are clearly controlling the game let them get some first downs. Play soft zone coverage and give them some underneath routes that dont get much yardage. If your opponent is getting off 60 plays a game or so that is an oppertunity for 60 tackles so ease up on the d a little. -
Re: how to get realistic tackle #'s?
Pretty much what he said. If your opponent is only running 30-45 plays then you wont see guys with 10-13 tackles. You don't get tackles for incomplete passes. My game last night Sean Lee was my leading tackler with 13 tackles on 15 minute quarters. Another thing going against us is assist's don't work right if i recall. Guys should be getting an additional 3-5 assist per game to.Comment

Yeah, I barely see any assists in the game. And don't even get me started on half sacks.Pretty much what he said. But, on the subject, a slider set that's challenging for you could help. My MLB usually has 8-12 tackles a game.No TV and no beer make Homer go something somethingComment

Re: how to get realistic tackle #'s?
ajra21, you get 110 tackles per season with those two guys on your user controlled cfm team? I dont think the OP is talking about the simmed stats
at any rate, I'm in week 12 of my second year, my safeties lead the team with 50 or so tackles apiece, linebackers are in the 25-40 range and DL are under 30, Suh leads them with 22 but he has 12 sacks. I had one game where it magically counted assists and half sacks. dont know what made it kick in that game?
I also notice that the DPOY and DROY are always the guys with the most tackles not sacks or INTs. my first season Rookie DL Ziggy Ansah had 20 sacks in his rookie season but Alec Ogletree was rookie of the year with damn near 200 tackles. This year the DPOY already has 150 tackles (think its ogletree again)Comment

It's week 9 and my MLB already got his level 4 goal of 75 tackles. Bobby Wagner is a beastajra21, you get 110 tackles per season with those two guys on your user controlled cfm team? I dont think the OP is talking about the simmed stats

I don't have it pulled up right now, but I don't think he has that much more than 75. My D-line is pretty bad at getting tackles though. They can get sacks like the best though. My ROLB has ~50 tackles and my LOLB has ~25, I'll probably have to switch them on the depth chart to get Irvin some more.

Re: how to get realistic tackle #'s?
U play 12 minute quarters and u leading tackler only avg's 5 tackles a game? I play 8 minute quarters and my leading tackler avg's around 7 or 8 a really good game and it can be double digits.Comment

Re: how to get realistic tackle #'s?
yeah, my problem is everyone on my team gets tackles...like every player will get 2-4 a piece with a random player or two (usually a special teamer who also plays on D) will get 5-7 tackles, and i FINALLY after about 20 games got my first double digit tackler at 13 with my safety (i didnt control him once during the entire game)
im going to try playing "soft" zones again but id say 90% of the time im in zone im getting beat deep.Comment

Re: how to get realistic tackle #'s?
I play 15 min quarters with a min playcock run down of 15 seconds. I have custom sliders to actually make the game challenging and realistic. Currently running a CFM with the Bills and Packers. I've played every game so far with both teams. In 5 games with the Bills, Kiko Alonzo has had 10 tackles or more in each game except for one which was week 2 against the Panthers who I beat up. Against the Ravens who moved the ball a lot on me, he had 16 tackles, against the Browns he finished with 11 tackles and 2 INT's. For the Packers, A.J. Hawk has been the only player that gets double digit tackles. He finished game two against the Redskins with 15 tackles. He averages around 10-12 a game for me. The rest for the Packers is more spread out. My starters for the defensive line average around 2-4 tackles a game with usually one of them having 5. But that depends on if the team I'm playing runs a lot or not.Comment

Re: how to get realistic tackle #'s?
so, 15min quarters i can get good tackle #'s but....even on 13 im still getting 60+ pass attempts from each QB and over 17 rush attempts for the starting backs and the yards are just weirdly overdone (i can throw 600 yards a game and still rush for 200... and yes i up the difficulty)Comment
