Games that must be experienced.

What games have you played that you feel are must play games? I mean you want people to know about them, and to share how good they are, because they gave you an incredible, unforgettable experience that you wanna shout from the rooftops.

Here's mine...

MLB The Show. (Any of them really, but I'm loving 12') Almost a flawless experience, baseball is one of my favorite sports, this game is basically a dream come true for a purist as myself.

Uncharted 2 and 3: Just an amazing experience, these games had my jaw on the floor multiple times.

Bioshock. Creeped me the hell out, in a good way. Such an eerie atmosphere, with amazing visuals, and a haunting storyline, and an experience that really draws you in to the world that is Rapture.

Those in my opinion are almost system sellers, in their own right.

In addition to those you mentioned, I'd also add:

- The Last of Us
- Heavy Rain
- Shadow of the Colossus

Then of course, there are the many NES classics that led blazed a path for later generations of gaming.

"Earthbound" on SNES, "Final Fantasy 7" on Playstation, and "Red Dead Redemption" on PS3.

The Witcher 2. Probably the best game of this gen for me.

I kind of disappeared from gaming for a while, so I am somewhat behind I'll have to try those games out.

I played the demo of Heavy Rain, and I did enjoy that. What is Shadow of the Colossus and The Last of Us about? I know I can look up a youtube video or something, but I don't have time right now.

Oh another game that might be approaching that list too is Hitman: Absolutuion, really impressing me so far.

I'm gonna add Mafia 2 to the mix too, I had a hell of an experience playing that, When Vito comes home for Christmas it just really immerses you into the experience from the word go.

The game that immediately came to mind for me was...

Original Asheron's Call, pre expansions - No loading screens running around the world, in depth lore, and an amazing community. I have never come across a community like the original AC community in a game since. The thrill of traveling to a high level area, with monsters in tow, chasing after you, is still one of my favorite gaming memories.

Sure, other big MMO's were out at the time, but it's the one game I can remember almost lobbying people about.

Some others:

Timesplitters: Future Perfect (great sense of humor, great multiplayer)

Mass Effect 2 (characters, characters, characters)

Ocarina of Time (getting and playing this a kid when it came out, wow..)

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (most memorable ladder, ever)

Banjo Kazooie(Jinjonator)

Zone of the Enders(I haven't played a "mech" game with that smooth of combat since)

Fallout 3 (I wanted to go around and explore everywhere in DC)

Tomb Raider - the latest one, I was actually cheering for Lara in the first half of the game, the 2nd half got a little frustrating.

MLB The Show - my wife can't tell the difference between the game and a tv broadcast.

NHL 09-14 - if you're not a huge sim hockey fan, it's a good series, especially if you're new to hockey.

Any Forza games - lots of customization and cars

Alan Wake - easy to get lost and throws in a lot of horror references

Alice: Madness Returns - my wife was addicted to this game, I had to pry her away to play my, excuse me our, ps3

Saints Row 3 - Goofy and over the top GTA style nonsense

Fable 2 - Lots of stuff to do even when you get finished with the story.

Lollipop Chainsaw - ridiculous, perverted, simple and fun.

Burnout Crash - crash cars, get money.

For the PC...Baldurs Gate and Empire Total War. Baldurs gate is the best RPG's I've played. You can get the recently released Enhanced Edition real cheap.

For PS3...Clearly the Show. Its a game that was a system maker for anyone who likes baseball.

Xbox 360...I really enjoyed the Battlestations Midway and Pacific. Pretty fun flying/ commanding the different Air Planes and War ships.
