It's starting to hit home guys. Remember how everyone says "Operation Sports are the hardcore fans which is 10% of the total user base". Well here are some of the casual fan comments that don't visit Operation Sports or other Madden sites.

i was about to say there is no way this is the next gen one... but the saints have the right collars, they don't on ps3/360 so either espn made a new game or that IS it... disappointing

Not encoding the video properly does not explain the terrible animations.
They have been talking about the revolutionary Ignite Engine but these animations look like they are a straight port from the PS3 version.

Lockdown the league, put out the same old **** every year.

Animations are terrible, the ball carrying arm of the runner still doesn't move. Im definitely getting a ps4, but looks like Ill be passing on Madden yet again. This looks NOTHING like those couple of clips I saw of RG3 and Lynch. where did that quality go?

In my opinion they should cancel the Next Gen version if it really does look this bad. I mean we already have Madden 25 on current gen what's the point of releasing the same game twice?

They know that without a doubt people will buy this game. They have three reasons:

a) It's a "different/updated" game
b) Its the NFL
c) Its a new console

This game will sell no matter how good, bad, or ugly it may be.

How could they even put that Ty Hilton play in the highlights? Colts fans correct me if I am wrong, is he not a Desean Jackson type of receiver? A smaller, speed guy? I know he looks pretty skinny when I've seen him in on TV.

So, Hilton leaps up and makes an over the shoulder catch. Before he can even land fully a safety is coming full speed and hits him. When they show Luck throwing you see Weddle sitting back in coverage WATCHING the throw get made. He has a short run and a direct path to the receiver. There is pretty much only one way this tackle should end. Weddle SHOULD be peeling parts of Hilton's jersey off his helmet. In the NFL this would probably have been a flag for a hit on a defenseless receiver.

But this is Madden.. Hilton is able to land and not only brace himself for the hit he doesnt see coming, he spins right off of it! Now this is bad enough right? Maybe this could possibly happen if Hilton just had a 6th sense and made a great play.. maybe.

BUT this is Madden.. Hilton can spin off what should be a crushing hit he doesnt see coming and then completely change his momentum and beginning spinning the other direction when hit a 2nd time. What happened to the trailing corner's momentum? He is chasing Hilton so he must be running full speed but when he hits Hilton, the animation takes over and he is falling off of him?

Amazingly bad.. I see better physics in GTA5 when I'm trying to walk down a steep hill and my character falls forward because of too much momentum. EA is laughable..

Before I even state anything, I just want to say I'm watching it on my phone and currently not on 4G so the resolution is pretty bad but WTF. The game looks like it's running the PS2 engine. I understand right now my resolution is bad but the animations shouldn't be affected by the visuals of the game. This looks like early 360 stuff animation wise. Nothing in that video was next gen at all. I'll wait to get home to re watch it or get to a spot where I have coverage but the animations look terrible

Funny you mention GTA 5, because it, like all Rockstar games since GTA 4, is running on Natural Motion's Euphoria engine. AKA, the same engine that was used in Backbreaker.

I've been waiting for double team pass blocking for so long. Nothing is worse than having a guy only rush 2 vs 5 linemen and a blocking HB only to get the sack while the other 4 watched and did nothing.

Dreads(finally free flowing and not ponytails), hair and helmets looked amazing.

I think many OS'ers should accept the fact that Madden is NOT made for them. It's like being mad at One Direction for the past couple of years cause you don't like their music. Yes they are the only band that comes to your town, but you are NOT the target audience.

I think many of you who haven't enjoyed the game in "years" are delusional to believe Madden will suddenly turn into your envisioned game.

I've enjoyed the Madden 25, flaws and all. (99 games online H2H so far and Week 16 of a 32-man league)

I can only hope other nuances like DBL team pass blocking also make the jump.

Edit: Just saw the NFL 2k gif and now Im sad.

That right there is the post of the year. And maybe even the post of the last 5 years! When there was 2 NFL games. It's obvious that many liked the other game better than Madden. Now that Madden won the war (off the field), they struggle to accept Madden for what it is and that the game is not made to appease them solely. The game is made to appeal to larger a demographic
of sports gamers. And in that respect the game achieves its primary goal. yes it sucks that EA "wal-marted" your personal favorite chain but love it or hate Madden is what it is.
