The only way I can see changes coming is if EA gets some new suits at the top of the ladder. They got some good guys working on this game at Tiburon (Kolbe from the MLB: The Show team being one) But I honestly believe they're creativity is being hampered.

Honestly, we'll see what we get next year with Madden 15, that's when i'll really start to judge this generation of Madden, because right now this is just laughable.

They needed to make a game that brought people to the edge of their seat as soon as they saw it.

It's great that they are talking about OL vs DL. But they should be talking about line stunts, coverage shells, half slide protection, quarter slide protection, trail technique, bracket coverage, man coverage inside vs outside technique, Run Defense built into the coverage, blitzing from space, timed blitzes, aligned blitzes. But nope.
Come on LB...your talking real football...You know damn skippy that real football and EA have nothing to do with each other.

Up to this point, huge disappointment, what has been offered up so far. The videos have been very underwhelming to say the least.

I'm hanging on a thread, and it's a slim thread, that TruStep, AI and Livingworld, which we haven't seen, yet, will somehow save this fast sinking ship.

What the heck happened to those webcast that would show the upcoming technology? I did enjoy those even if some of the implementations didn't work out.lol. The heck is marketing doing? Very little, in my eyes.

We live in hopes and die in despair.

If you are talking about how much money each EA franchise makes your probably should.

          Agree with the rest though.

But Madden IS losing money. Cost of the license + the rising cost of development and poor sales. Def. not the most ideal situation for EA.

So let me get this straight, you defend Madden to death and bash NBA 2K?... Hmm...

Again, doesn't matter to the NFL, and it must not be hurting EA very much financially because they can still comfortably afford the license.

I saw the Saints v Dolphins footage a couple weeks ago. It bummed me out and it put EA in a bit of a hole, in my book. "But it wasn't encoded properly," they said, without offering a properly encoded video. The hole got a little deeper. Now this video is out and there is no official response to the criticism (yet). The hole has gone through the earth's crust at this point. While I can't say with 100% certainty that I won't buy the game, EA has given me absolutely NO reason to be excited.

Wouldn't know, don't play 2k online, and if I do, would play in a sim league with sim players. Game isn't garbage at all, second to the show as far as a professional franchise.

Anything is possible, but if they're looking to get the hype train going for the next generation of Madden NFL football then they would be putting their best foot forward. The game is releasing in, what, a month or so? The idea that this wasn't encoded the right way or they are holding back at this point doesn't make sense (the former a claim EA made about the first ESPN video release). This is the game that folks will be buying.

Not what I was getting at. What I was trying to say is, obviously this game is an untouched port of current gen with the Ignite engine.

I'm not going to play this game, i'm not going to even give it a second look. What i'm saying is, they'll actually have time to develop a real next gen game for Madden 15. Whether it will be good or not is all up to them. I doubt it will be sim, I believe it will be the same dog and pony show. What i'm saying is, i'll judge them on a TRUE next gen scale with Madden 15.

Might not matter to the NFL but it DOES matter to the developer. I've read a few place online that said EA wasn't to comfortable with the NFL License costs and current Madden sales. I think some of you think this exclusive is a "lock" forever and you just might be surprised.
