Will it be the playoff system? Schools changing contracts with uniform providers? New helmets, logos or stadium? Brad Nessler retiring? I dont know what would do it for me, maybe the uniforms. I know sounds fickle but I cant help it.

it'll likely be hard to go back to NCAA when madden 26 or '15 or whatever they want to call it comes out. i'd imagine on the next iteration, graphically we will see an improvement that makes NCAA look a bit dated.

I play my NCAA games 2-4 years before getting a new one. I never saw the need to get the game each year just for some roster updates and improvements (all the improvements that worked would be added to the game 2 years later as well).
Chances are I will play it 1 more year before saying goodbye. Will probably coincide with the time I purchase my next gen console and begin collecting a decent library of games.Comment

when/if i get a next gen system. just saw the 2k trailer and was blown away. just really pissed off that we will not get to see all the beautiful visuals of college football in next gen graphics.Comment

PLAYOFFS for sure makes it incredibly dated, but since we have nothing else, I'll probably play this until another college football game comes out, mainly because I love college football and basketball A LOT.Games I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.Comment

I usually can go 3 or 4 years before a game feels dated to me. In fact one perk of all this is that I won't have to spend hours hours to work sliders before a the game is playable next season. I'll put the game down in January, and next August I will be able to jump right in and play.
Not so sure about Next Gen Madden yet. The latest clip was a bit underwhelming.Comment

The day Madden starts looking like NBA 2K14 next gen. I played College Hoops 2K8 for years, now it looks dated compared to NBA 214 because there are simply more controls and animations that were added. Kind of like NCAA 11, loved that game, but NCAA 14 makes that look dated with physics.
So probably 2 or 3 years from now, depends on how fast next gen evolves with their games.Comment
