Re: NBA 2K14 Next Gen Trailer
It's my opinion!!! And when I have PC Versions that look like this....
Like I said, they both look terrible!!!
Again it's my opinion and I have a eye for details and accuracy, and he's not accurate nor D. Rose...
This is the PC version and this is D.Rose...

Re: NBA 2K14 Next Gen Trailer
Correct me if i am wrong..but some of you guys are being to hard on this game.
1. This is a launch game.....look at any new system launch games and compare them to 2nd and 3rd year titles..night and day most of the time and 2k dev's are very capable of taxing the hardware.
2. ...correct me if i am wrong but NBA2k14 is simply using the current engine that is enhanced for this year. Next year...my gut feeling tells me a brand new engine is coming.
3. For what we are seeing for the new consoles first year NBA2K game...i am NOT complaining...only good things i see and just think about it fella's....look at what 2k dev's have in store for us once they get a grip on the PS4 hardware..it's going to be a wonderful generation!!
I just get tired of all the negativity and nitpicking going on..this is a videogame folks! It's not going to be 100% like the real deal..not even in two generations from now...i have full confidence 2k will deliver the goods like they USUALLY DO! Give them time...and in the mean time..lets enjoy their first year effort on these new consoles..i NEVER expect a whole lot from launch titles and i am well pleased thus far with this NBA2k14 next gen title.
I expect next year's game to be sporting a brand new complete engine though...be patient, you young padawans hehe..You win some, you lose some

Re: NBA 2K14 Next Gen Trailer
This trailer was the best thing I've seen from a next gen game yet! To all the people saying that this is a minor leap over CG. What are you looking at? Congrats to 2k for being a smaller company and showing these bigger studios (cough, EA, cough) how to make in a splash into the next gen of console gaming.
As for all this talk about gameplay, really people. This game was built from ground up and you really think the gameplay won't be there also? C'mon son. The CG games were limited graphically and A.I. wise (we all know that), but I still haven't seen an EA Sports' title animate or look as good as what VC brought to the table. This coming from an ex-hardcore Live fan (1995-2010). Around the time I jumped off the sinking ship, I wondering why my game never looked as good or animated as good as 2k. So I said f*** this and went over to the 2k's side and have been loving ever since.
Stop the hating, the 5v5 gameplay will be coming soon. How do I know? Because it always does... This is not EA Sports you're dealing with folks, this is the real deal. If they were allowed to make a NFL game, you would really see how bad Madden really is.My Artwork: http://frankwyte81.deviantart.com/ - I'm an Illustrator/Graphic DesignerComment

Terrible is a strong word and an exaggeration in my opinion. They look great not perfect but a heck better than 'other next gen sports game' These are minor improvements that can fixed and to think the game incoporated wing spans and unique body sizes is something that shouldn't be left out either.LETS GO CHICAGO BULLS !!!!

Re: NBA 2K14 Next Gen Trailer
Game looks "too real".
I hope there is no CGI encoded here but my only wish is to see live in-game footage - no more trailer feeds -- feed me big meats!

Re: NBA 2K14 Next Gen Trailer
2k gets my respect because they are following through on an actual NG release on launch. If you look at other companies (ie. Ubisoft and Bioware) they delayed their releases until next year. If 2k pulled the title or delayed the NG release I'd seriously consider not purchasing this title next year.
Or they could have just released a CG version this year, with just basic graphical cosmetic upgrades for the NG ports. 2k did neither; so they get my respect for their approach to the NG release on its first cycle.
Building a new engine and all the systems and sinks that go along with the launch of a new generation of hardware is going to take time. I expect the new generation will not live up to the extreme expectations for a few years yet. The groundwork and foundation for the next decade is being built now.
Let us all see what 2k releases and then use that as the bar for future consideration.
The only real thing I fault 2k for in this respect is not releasing the PC version on the NG level. 5 year old PC hardware can handle NG console graphics and logic - the PC did not need to be given a CG port.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Next Gen Trailer
It's probably just the angle on Rose, I'm sure he looks great. Kobe looks better on next gen, then that current gen pic, no doubt.
To say their faces look terrible? I mean, c'mon now. That's stretching.
Sometimes I think PC gamers are just bias.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Next Gen Trailer
You must not have been paying attention dude. 2k didn't have him sweating at tip off Harden was at free throw line doing ritual! Look again before sabotaging greatness.Really quite astonishing. Even bench players are looking pretty good. Skinny Durant model looks very good. I'd like to see what Kevin Martin's model looks like for comparison.
Minor quibble. They show Harden during a jump ball sequence, and he is sweating. The detail of the sweat is quite something, but he probably shouldn't be sweating before a game starts.
Yes, yes. Just showcasing the realism of the models.
