How do you use Custom Rosters in Connected Careers?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I tried searching and didn't see anything, except for maybe the Bugs/Glitches thread but that thing is crazy long and I'm not going to read every post. Plus, when I started to create this thread the "similar threads we found" were all from 2012.

I've tried starting a Connected Career (online and off) several times and I always make sure to load my custom roster from a few weeks ago. When I go to start the Career I make sure to select "Use Custom Rosters" as opposed to "Use Default 75-Man Pre-season Roster" but it never works!

I also would like to know how to get legends into the career. Is it possible is that only for MUT? I know before you start a career one of the options is "Legends- Yes/No".

And lastly, if I want NCAA rosters do I need to import them BEFORE the first season? I don't remember it prompting me to before but I did notice several weeks into the season on the News page they have articles about fake college players. I just recently finished my first NCAA season and made sure to export the draft class. Will those players automatically show up in the stories section now if I start a new career?

make sure the roster u want that has legends such is loaded up and when u go to your cfm... click custom and it will say loading roster 2424 or such like that and your all set.

I've loaded custom rosters to both offline and online cfms with no problems.

1) How do I get the legends in the first place? The only place I've seen them is MUT.

2) Trust me, I am doing that. I do get the "loading 2236 players" message when I start the franchise but it's still the default rosters.

well some ppl have the legends unlocked in rosters in the roster share... that's strange because like I said I've loaded up a few different rosters that way even changed some players postion's around and that's the roster that was in the cfm.

what makes u say they are the default ones??

You need to have a custom roster that you want to load first. Either create one or download one from Madden Share

Because the Bears have three QBs and Fiametta isn't the starting, and lone, FB.

I do have one. It was a roster updated I downloaded a bit ago and then I made a few changes to it which made it custom. I make sure to go to the File section and Manage Files. I load the custom roster. I double check and I see the roster is accurate. Then I go to the Connected Career and on he first page it asks if you want to use the Default 75-man preseason roster or Custom and I pick Custom. Once I get into the Franchise it's back to the default rosters.

I just did a offline ccm with the new update that came out today loaded it click custom... it said d/ling 2628 or whatever I went to roster and its the new one the bears have 3 qb's 2 fb's and the browns have Charles Johnson at wr... not one problem.

I think I figured out my problem. Because I was selecting Pre-Existing Injuries OFF it was adding those players to my roster that I didn't see before, because they were grayed out and in the reserves.

But I'm still wondering about the NCAA question? Is there a way to pre-load the draft class so that the real players appear in the "stories" section of the Franchise or do you have to wait until after season one ends?

It asks you after the pre-season is over, before you play week one in the Actions screen if you want to import, that is when you can do so, for each and every season.

I tell it to load custom rosters and the number it loads is 2294. I've even tried creating a player and adding it to a team, and it shows that it tries to load 2295 players. But when I go to select the team, all ratings are reset to their custom ratings, and even selecting pre-existing injuries does not load them in that way. All ratings and depth charts get resets.

Any ideas?

Anyone else having issues loading the custom playbook on the ps4 in CFM online? I think i tried 3 times all 3 times it booted me before the game started. Is this a known bug ? or ment to be this way?

well I do know pre exsiting injuries don't work when u start up a cfm...that's been broke since 25 came out... and the depth charts is another bug as well.

have u tried saving the roster under a new name and loading that one into a cfm?? I've done it both ways and haven't had any problems even have switched players to different postions and its loaded those ones into the cfm.

yeah I've tried that as well. I just tried it now, downloaded the latest roster, saved it, made sure it was uploaded. Started up a CF, made sure to load custom rosters, and when I go to select a team, all of their ratings are back to default and not what they were in the custom rosters
