ESPN Breaking News Report:
Rece Davis: “In a shocking turn of events by the NCAA earlier this week it would seem the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers will be taking their football program to Division II. According to sources the Athletic Director felt it was simply time to part ways with football in the FBS D1-A. This leaves a major gap in the Sun Belt Conference who has fallen to only 7 teams after already losing several after the 2012 season. In an effort to save the conference Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson has reached out to a Division III school, John’s Hopkins University. The Athletic Director, Tom Calder gave this press conference early this morning announcing the team’s future.”

Tom Calder: “We are here today to announce a pivotal moment in Blue Jays Athletics. The John’s Hopkins Blue Jays will be taking the place of the recently removed Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in the FBS D1-A Sun Belt Conference. As always with moving up in a division there will be many challenges, especially with our advancement of three entire divisions. However, the Athletic Department and I have the utmost faith in our squad and coaching staff. First year head coach Michael Anthony is going to have a hell of a challenge on his hands but I think he is up for it. In compliance with NCAA football regulation our roster will be fit to 70 players no later than tomorrow evening. Coach Anthony is working diligently with his team to release this roster as soon as possible. Thank you, and I look forward to a wonderful and exciting new season.”
