Well the game is still jacked when the ball is released from the Qb's hand, became theirs no way in heck Cam Newton is that accurate. In fact do you agree the Qb's are way to accurate in Madden? Especially the bad ones like Ponder, Tebow, Sanchez, they all play like Peyton Manning.

Exactly. They make it like all qb's have the arm to throw the ball all over the field. Fact is every QB in the NFL cannot throw an out route. Cam Newton has been innaccurate throwing in the middle of the field since he was at Florida. Can't complain though, all the EA sports team sports games have a problem with making their atletes individuals. Ex, quick dekes are new to NHL 14 so its only right to have Colton Orr stickhandling like Pavel Datsyuk?

The whole next gen launch lineup got so scared of that 2k trailer that other non sports triple A titles delayed their games till next year.....Has anyone notced that 2k only showed ps4 gameplay..I think madden had an intention to give us a good game but is being scaled back beacuse of the inferior xbox one specs..

Couple thoughts...2K was just a trailer and while it looked great we have not heard or seen one mention of how they will deal with the plethora of online AI problems. If they don't fix the myriad of online gameplay problems it will be as useless as its current gen predecessor which is currently a drink coaster at my home. The AI and online gameplay is terrible in that game. Just imagine if all Madden was was two guys throwing long bombs and completing 1 outta 4 every series...Well...that's what 2K is to the 3pt shot. Huck and chuck run around and act a fool B-Ball...people taking close to 50 3's per game (5 min qtrs).

Love or hate Madden it has become less cheesy to play year after year because whether many of you know or care to admit the AI in the game is improved. 2K AI is hot garbage online and lets be real in this day in age people want to play H2H online...These games are made to interact with others not play all alone with my special set of sliders that are slanted to make me feel good about myself...No offense to sliders and all that but its all about interaction and connecting to others. Mmany of us only play H2H or online so if a game can't pass that test its useless. 2K fails miserably

Finally, All games across both platforms whether you get a Ps4 or Xbox One will be the same. If anyone getting a new next gen console thinks 2k or madden will play better on their console they will be disappointed.

Couple quick thoughts...2K was just a trailer...if they don't fix online gameplay in that game it will be as useless as its current gen predecessor.

All games across both platforms whether you get a Ps4 or Xbox One will be the same. If anyone getting a new next gen console thinks 2k or madden will play better on their console they will be disappointed.

Hope they can clean up stuff like this in the future. Same problem on current gen with guys floating and keeping their balance instead of falling.

You fix online game play by fixing the game itself. THe reason why onlne gameplay is the way it is is because the mechanics, or lack thereof, that are in the game allow it. Being able to run backwards with QBs faster than defenders can run forward, throwing across the field and having coverage break down while running the opposite way, no need to even try to set your feet and still make accurate throws, etc. All of this crap makes 3rd and 20 plays easily convertable. It's the game, not the players.

Offensive Rebounding: Online for some reason no matter what D you use or if you are protecting the paint when the opponent shoots a 3 the game goes dumb...You can have four defenders there and the ball goes directly to the one player from the other team. Recycle that scenario over 3-4 times ending with a 3pt shot in ya face. they need to do some tuning oor AI work on offensive rebounding and/or rebounding in general...because very rarely do you see a NBA team get 3-5 consecutive rebounds. It happens but nothing close to what its like online in 2K

3Pt Shots: The shooting logic in this game is a mystery. perfect releases don't go in...bad releases hit the bottom of the net. Thats not a huge issue with me because I realize that bad shots fall but IMO this game does not do enough to respect good D over someone forcing and taking bad shots. People are taking close to 50 3's a game because it works and they know the AI is broken in that department. if I take 50 3's and hit 39% of all three's taken thats a pretty darn good ratio. Add in online stability and this game is a coaster for your drink if you thrive on H2H online play. I don't think the guys who don't play online have any clue how bad this game is online. IMO its 2k's worst effort to date. Particularly since these are the same problems it has had every year.

Bottom line is the online part of that game makes it unplayable if you like to run plays and play sim basketball...Its not possible to do. The tools in the game to stop a lot of the nonsense just don't work...

Meanwhile in Madden they have many tools that actually work in stopping curls, deep balls, corner routes etc. The issue is will you have time to implement them prior to each play? For years all people would do in Madden would be hike and run backwards and throw crazy passes...ore set up some crazy nano that would result in everyone being forced to run a SG offense. Those days are gone...I play random folks in Madden all the time and I'm seeing far less cheese than I did in years past. In almost every area Madden has a defensive tool to combat something your opponent is doing and mostof it actually works.

I was wondering the same thing, but I think he's talking abut the guy in the background. looks like a guy starts to trip over No. 56 but does the "Infinity Engine" float. I hope they have cleaned up the Infinity-ignite whatever they want to call it a lot for next gen. it has a lot of potential but I hate the wonkyness

Nah the lineman in the back. Stuff like this happens on current gen all the time, when guys should fall, they hover and float off a both feet and still keep their balance. Look at my avi. Charles ran in for a touchdown after that animation. He got his foot caught on his lineman, during a juke animation, floated like that off a both feet continued to run.

That was a nice ball fake animation in the Vick video. It may have been a user pump fake but it looks like a ball fake by play design to freeze the DBs at the line of scrimmage.

Yeah it's in current gen with some of the sluggo routes. It's automatic.

So far I am hopeful that these updates are what they claim they are not just nice buzz words and geek speak. The biggest headache in Madden has been the line play, AI and running . Much improvement went into the current gen running game to at least bring the fun back, buy these step additions plus the ability to point a defender out could mean much better running.

the Line play has been trash for years and these vids look like the kind of play i expect - I am praying I see no suction blocks and questionable releases. I also hope that this means the pocket collapses as it should during gameplay.

The 60 calculations per second per player should mean no more AI cheating and outright shooting plays without looking. I just want to see natural play behavior - see the ball before reacting on the ball behavior. Intelligent play calling on defense and offense as well and a real ebb and flow to the game.

There are currently just games that you know from the the first series that the computer has determined the outcome and I believe they would not have to code the game to cheat if they had better AI
