Maybe he'll answer if hitting the catch button actually gave you an animation for trying to catch the ball, instead of the game telling you when you're supposed to go for it as well as only giving you those animation when it's a catch or dropped ball. We should be able to go for it when ever we want, and miss, catch or drop it because of that freedom.
