Got 2k5 working on Macbook Pro
Don't know if anyone is interested but I got NFL 2K5 working at 55-60 fps on Macbook pro with updated rosters and everything, took a long time figuring it out but I got it. I'm new around here so if anyone wants help with it reply and let me knowTags: None -
Re: Got 2k5 working on Macbook Pro
amazing! I'm guessing PS2 version? is it because of how powerful the MacBook Pro is? or because something else you did yourself.
can't believe you got it running close to 60fps.
if we could get alot of folks interested in getting mods to work with this version.......man... it already looks realistic... great colors. We just need to up the textures on the field and wow.
I don't know squat about PC Mods, but hoping some jump on board. -

Re: Got 2k5 working on Macbook Pro
Was this accomplished with an emulator?Comment

Re: Got 2k5 working on Macbook Pro
It would have to be an emulator, you cannot do this without an emulator on any PC/Mac.
On PC, it just is simple tweaking the settings at the right time and save states.
Updated rosters work with the PS2 save emulator that works with the PS2 emulator. Honestly, my graphics look better on the PC due to upping the resolution compared to it on the PS2.Comment

Can you post an explanation on how to do it? I keep getting stuck on the Chris Berman screen.. It goes to black then nothing. I think I followed all the settings tooIt would have to be an emulator, you cannot do this without an emulator on any PC/Mac.

Re: Got 2k5 working on Macbook Pro
I am assuming this works on WINDOWS as well. All you need is the emulator? What is the emulator called? Also, I have a xbox 360 that i can play NFL2k5 on, but does it look better on the computer?Comment

Re: Got 2k5 working on Macbook Pro
The emulator is PSCx2 I believe, and it will look the same on the computer as far as I'm aware, but however the reason why this is a big deal is that this opens the game up to mods where someone can change textures of the field or the stadium lights, seats, people, helmets, jerseys etc. Which in return will make the game look a hell of a lot better. But I don't believe that the emulator is running smoothly, although I wouldn't know about that just things I've heard, and the modding hasn't been accomplished nor attempted as far as my knowledge goes.Comment

Re: Got 2k5 working on Macbook Pro
Guys, I have a full tutorial for windows a few threads down on how to get game running and franchise and updated rosters etc.
It was closed since it used an emulator but this thread has stayed open. But it's still up just near the bottom.Comment
