Re: Gamespot Preview with video
shocked some of you are not impressed. people have been already saying 2k14 CG is the best ball game ever, not sure why they would need to change much from that. animations looked even better now with the better graphics and better fps (i think?).
two thumbs up from me

Re: Gamespot Preview with video
There are about 15 takes on Currys shot, even by the community...Even if he comes in and captures it, he has so many different shots...same with LeBron for 2k14...he doesn't fade as much as he does on the shot he captured for the most partWelp. Mike Wang did say the control scheme was similar to current gen 2K14, so I'd expect it to play similarly.
On another note. HOW. HARD. IS IT. TO. GET. STEPH. CURRY's. SHOT. RIGHT?
ARGH. Not only that but Paul Pierce's shot has been wrong for the last 3 years too. This is one of those small little things that just grate on my nerves. It's not visually correct and I'm tired of looking at that funky looking shot that looks nothing like his actual form.
Now Pierces shot I agree on....they actually had it right in 2k11 and his release and J. Kidds base has been spot on for a while IMOComment

Re: Gamespot Preview with video
Looks better than CG obviously lol but I don't know. I just thought it would look better overall. I can tell we'll think theses graphics sucks 6 years from now. It looks like it's the start of a new gen... But it's not as impressive as I thought it would be based on the trailers.
Court's lighgtning and reflections... Looks off.Comment

Re: Gamespot Preview with video
the ball physics greatly improved, and i love the new scoreboard.
there is something off about the gameplay video though. It plays like current gen, as least thats how it looks, I thought they would be more individual movement up and down the court, small nuances throughout the game. Stuff like that. I expected to much, I'm a little disappointed, but this order made me keep my preorder, so we will see how it turns out. I'm more excited about 2k15 now than 2k14. 2k14 is laying the ground work and it seems to be like a pretty good foundation.
To be honest, Im very disappointed about the commentary. The artificial crowd sound efx, and clark kellog. I thought maybe we'd be seeing some fresh and new commentary. commentary still seems a little robotic#dairyfreeComment

Re: Gamespot Preview with video
Looks good. Player movement still looks a little funky at times, but the shooting definitely looked better. The ball physics did too.
I'm going to wait to say anything about the graphics because compressed video like that never do a game justice.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: Gamespot Preview with video
People whined in 2K11 that his set shot (3pt) release was too hard to learn, and so they just went with the masses and just gave him the same release for 3pt as his mid-range in 2K12. His mid-range also doesn't look like that (maybe the shot base). He hardly jumps on his mid-range. The one they gave him in 2K looks more like how Wilson Chandler shoots IRL, whose shot release ofc is also done inaccurately.ARGH. Not only that but Paul Pierce's shot has been wrong for the last 3 years too. This is one of those small little things that just grate on my nerves. It's not visually correct and I'm tired of looking at that funky looking shot that looks nothing like his actual form.Originally posted by Dogslax41Most people that are asking for a simulation game don’t really want a simulation game because its too hard.Comment

Re: Gamespot Preview with video
Finally!!
Faces look phenomenal. Best ever in a sports game. I have no problems saying that.
The lighting really makes this shine.
I thought I'd notice a bigger differential in the player models but I didn't.
TBH, it just looks like a brighter, cleaner version of current gen IMO.
Spacing was poor with guys getting clogged in the lanes. And it looked like Chalmers morphed through Curry with his arm.
I liked the pick animation with Chalmers fighting through it.
Overall, I'm not even close to being blown away like after I saw the trailer.
Graphical improvements are great and it's good to see them using the power of the console.
But the AI issues are still there from current gen. Definitely a letdown for me. Way too much action going on in the paint with bad spacing.
What exactly did the EcoMotion fix? Footplanting?Comment
