    Week 8: Dallas Cowboys (4-3) @ Detroit Lions (4-3)

Detroit has got to get a win going into the bye week here. Dallas looks to easily be the best team in the NFC East, which I'm not sure what that says exactly. Should be a good one.

And as always, All Hail Megatron. Peace through tyranny and such.

As long as Bobby Carpenter is not playing for the Lions, I like our chances.

Dallas has a very good chance in this game. Dez and Megatron I predict will be non factors and both teams are going to turn it over a couple of times. I don't think it will be a shootout but a 27-23 type game that could go either way.

Our lack of a running game is going to catch up with us soon, but I don't think it will be this week.

These teams are reasonably even. With Reggie Bush, the Lions might have a slight edge with a reasonable run game. I predict it to be close and hope the Lions can pull it out going into the bye.

Wilcox is out.. Sprained knee. Yet another injury..
Hamilton could come up from the PS, but then they
              would have to cut someone..

              Not looking good for us..

                Big game for both.

I just feel a different way about the Cowboys this year. I think we go in and eek out a win in the end, unless the Det DL takes over the game.

If it's offense vs offense...I think we pull out a close one.

I'm really looking forward to the battle in the trenches here between the Cowboys OL & the Lions front-7. This is a really good test for the Cowboys OL in terms of the cohesion they've been building since Waters took over at RG. The Lions have a very physically athletic DL. If the line can hold, the Cowboys should have some great success on intermediate and deep routes even if the run game isn't great.

Of course, the Dallas defensive front is suspect much like last week and the Lions offense has no short of playmakers. RBs & TEs have been giving the Dallas-D fits.

If this turns into a shootout, it's really anyone's game. Main matchups I'm looking forward to: Suh vs Waters/interior OL, Carr vs Johnson, Bryant vs Johnson (stats).

This is a very big game. Can't have another letdown; either we're going to establish ourselves as "for real", or go back to being that mediocre team we're all too familiar with.

Go Cowboys! I feel pretty good about this one.

The Cowboys need to do a lot more than beat another middling team to be considered "for real" IMO. Don't get me wrong, I hope they win too, but win or lose, they are still mediocre.

I don't know man, no team is really wowing me so far this year, so 5-3 would be above average to me. Now would it surprise me if we lost the next three in a row? Absolutely not.

Maybe I'm just a delusional homer. Lol.

I get you. I would just say that if it wouldn't surprise you if they lost 3 in a row after this, then it speaks to my point about their mediocrity.

Looking at the Cowboys schedule, if they were a good team, I'd expect a 10 win season. The fact that I can see anything from 10 wins to 10 losses is what gives me pause...lol. I just don't see much difference compared to the previous few years is all.

I'd be happy to be wrong though.

As long as our DBs don't randomly lose every receiver on the field, we should get this one at home.
