    Tips for using the Nets.

I play against my friends and I usually lose. We play on Hall Of Fame.

My one friend uses the Spurs and Bulls, the other uses the Wizzards and the other friend uses the Warriors.

I use my favorite team the Nets and cant seem to use them to well. Is there any tips or tricks I could use to at least become competitive? I typically run the ball down and eat a lot of clock and that keeps me in most games but then I just lose it. Main reason is I cant use Joe Johnson. Something about him I suck with....

    Sincerely, 2K noob

I would attack the hoop with D-Will and post up with Lopez mainly. Use Pierce, Garnett, and Joe Johnson to knock down shots in rhythm with the offense while D-Will and Lopez are in the game. When either are out or both are out, let Johnson, Pierce, and Garnett get more into their offense. Blatche is a great scorer for a big man off the bench too. He's like a giant Gilbert Arenas or the guy who ate Carmelo. In other words, he can score the ball.

joe and pierce are both pretty good post players for wings. deron is great in the post also.

Brook and KG both have great jumpers, drive and kick, pick and pop but KG's jumper is slow as hell, so it can get blocked easily.

Mirzra and blatche also both have decent midrange, and kirilinko is a pretty good defender and decent spot up 3pt shooter. and jet's jumper is great. run a few floppy plays for him to get hot.

He is my go to guy, once you get his shot down he is money. I don't run a lot of plays for him but I'm always looking for him off ball spotting up. I usually work Brook in the post and run pick and rolls with him or pick and pop with KG but I try to keep my eye out for Joe if the defense sags off a bit.

Yeah well I just played and Wall was just driving on Brook Lopez and Garnet nailing everything underneath. I ended up quiting at the beginning of the secound when I was down 11-24 and D. Williams came down the court with the ball only for him to get stripped by wall then roll out of bounds however it was out on williams some how.

The Nets are some kind of the mid-range no. 1 team in the game, everyone in the starting lineup can shoot and is good in the post. So thats pretty much what you should use to your advantage.

Play a slow tempo. I mostly play as the Nets and when I lose it is because I am caught up in the other players tempo trying to run the ball and shoot the 3. If you play half court, use some PnR, and take some open mid range shots you will good. Plus, take advantage of KG's turnaround fadeaway in the post, it is money!

For starters, I'd watch a game to see how the new guys are incorporated. I've been playing with them for 10+ years and even I had a little difficulty with the new lineup: lots of new guys to get used to. My problem is a problem of "more" meaning I have too many options on offense Here's a few tips:

Joe Johnson might be the best shooter on the team in terms of mid range. I don't expect his open looks to miss. Also a beast in the high and low post. He is also your iso guy. His shot only looks slow. The release is relatively quick given the animation.

                  Terry-- Catch and shoot.

LOPEZ: master him and he is almost unstoppable on the block.

Pierce - post and drives for me (I don't have his shot yet) and open 3s

KG: on the block and high post if you can get his shot. I mostly shoot open looks because I haven't mastered his slow shot yet

D Will: work on your ISO. I can get him to the hole almost at will. Let him create for others. He is also your clutch shooter

Tempo: well...last year I would run slow through the post. This year Kidd wants to push it. And I want to replicate what the team does. Your choice may vary.

How do you even do the fadeaway in the post? He always manages to do his turn right or left shot but doesnt jump backwards.

                      D. Will medium shot is money. He is the most consistant scorer on my team when I play. Problem I have is animations. They last soooooooooooooo loooooooooooong. Way to long imo. Like when they lose a ball and act like a blind man looking for it. Infuriates me so much.

Iceberg, you play with my team? I feel betrayed. Also, when are we getting that rematch?

I hate Terry at the one. He's too rippable(yup, made it up.)

If someone is using a fast PG, i'll end up putting Ty at the one and run deron at the 2. Helps with faster backcourts, plus Ty is damn fast so you can push the issue off misses sometimes.

On relative I believe it is away from basket or on absolute it is down on the shot stick. He might not fade much but it is a great shot that is hard to contest with out fouling.
