Whether you didn’t get NHL 14 or you just simply loved NHL 13, we have the rosters to take your hockey gaming experience to the next level. These rosters are intended for BeaGM mode. This save has accurate NHL and AHL rosters with all European teams having their players hidden to prevent random undue free agent signings. The prospects from the Euro leagues, NCAA, KHL, and other leagues have been thrown onto CHL teams to help mitigate their impact on a team’s salary cap and contract limits. Being so late in the season, we decided to release only one version of our rosters, so transactions on this edition are accurate as of May 28, 2014

DISCLAIMER:

Once again, this roster is intended for BAGM or Season Mode. Hence, the NHL, AHL and CHL are all playable, but the European teams are not. Trying to start a game with any European team will cause the game to crash. BAPro has not been tested, but should work, albeit with inaccurate CHL rosters; the CHL, once again, is simply being used as a prospect pool. Also, no players will retire after season 1 of your BAGM. This is normal. Players will retire in future seasons.

What’s Included
-Authentic team systems for all 30 NHL teams
Using data collected by Blue Seat Blogs, team AI has been completely refined. These strategies were also influenced by offensive zone start percentages (to illustrate possession-based vs rush-based teams), and number of goals scored (to separate offensive teams, balanced teams, and defensive-minded teams).

-Updated Player traits for entire NHL, and numerous prospects in the AHL and CHL
The Revamped 13 continues to push the limits of what EA has given us, helping to ensure that stars, future stars, role players and grinders play the way they should on the ice.

-Cyberface updates for all active NHL players, as well as for notable prospects.
Special thanks to Moose and PowerPanther for their assistance.

-Accurate arena attendances, capacities and names.
Prior to now, every arena in the NHL would be relatively full, but not anymore. Feel the difference between playing in Madison Square Garden, compared to playing out in the desert against the Coyotes like never before. When the playoffs come though, expect all contenders’ arenas to be sold out.

-The most in-depth player attribute system to date, directly driven by statistics and scouting reports

-Refined player roles, types, attribute separation and GM AI
Every player, especially those in the NHL, has been thoroughly researched, and has had his attributes individually calculated and assigned, based upon scouting reports and statistics. Offensive, defensive, all-around, grinders, enforcers and utility players will all have unique strengths and weaknesses. As a result of this attribute overhaul, special teams unit logic has been significantly improved. Stars like Ovechkin and Kessel will receive regular time on the powerplay, but bottom-six specialists like Daniel Winnik, Derek Mackenzie and Patrick Dwyer will kill penalties, as they should. Conversely, excellent two-way forwards like Bergeron, Toews, and Vermette will be able to play on both special teams units. The better the player overall, the more ways he can be used on your team.

-Over 150 prospects for 2014 and 2015 draft (ratings, potentials, traits, and faces)

-Accurate contracts for all NHL teams, including extensions

-All skater and goalie equipment accurate for NHL and AHL players

Want to do some more hands-on scouting?
We have created teams for both the 2014 and 2015 draft (3 teams total) comprised of prospects from the top two rounds of the draft. Now you can play a prospects only game to truly find that player you want to pick up in the NHL Entry Draft for your BeaGM. These teams can be found in the Created Teams League under these names:
2014 PROSPECTS A
2014 PROSPECTS B
2015 PROSPECTS

WARNING: If you attempt to edit these team lines your game might freeze. 99% of the time it will allow you to edit it, but it could cause the game to crash while loading. These teams are “best lined” already so the top players should be active.
