It is unbelievable how often people talk fact on here and it couldn't be any further from the truth. Not saying this is the case but all I have seen on the topic was the Q&A when the question was asked and the answer was "We will talk more on true step at a later date"
True Step affects the ball carrier whether it is user or CPU controlled, and all user controlled defenders. All players movement is different though and according to Simfballcritic and his time with the game, it doesn't look awkward and you can't tell who does or doesn't have True Step while playing. He said at times it felt like everyone had it because all player movement is improved in gen 4.

11 days until this game is released. Are we going to get legit confirmation of details of CFM? I know it's been said that everything in current gen will be in Next Gen, let's hear about it and see it!
Next Gen should have more as it's the base on which future games will be built.

On that note this is my last post about 2k.

Looking forward to seeing anything having to do with the core gameplay aspects of Madden. I'm REALLY interested in seeing those improvements on defense as that'll really be the selling point for me. If I see improvements in the OL/DL interaction to the point that skilled pass rushers such as D Ware or Jarred Allen get to the Quarterback consistently and DB's making smarter decisions in coverages and better breaks on the ball then I will go from leaning towards not buying to a definite sale. I basically just wanna see a more balanced game in terms of offense vs defense.
Understood...but I can only comment on areas of the game that I have experience with...Since I only play online and am not ignorant enough to make a comment like "I could care less about offline"...I just opt to stay in my lane. For the record though I assume and want all areas of a game to perform well.

So with respect don't you think consumers deserve more ? They could have just fixed the crowd and sidelines and said hey it's part of the game of football and needed to updated for next gen no they are promoting "LIVING WORLDS" interactive sidelines, 80k 3d crowd models that react realistically to the game, sideline players which have just as much detail as players on the field. So I see why some feel they have been mislead for false advertisement.

I guess I don't assume that everything I've seen is the final retail build of the game. I consider that they may have captured certain things who knows when and at different timelines of the build of the game...Now that being said I personally still don't care too much about crowds but not to be a tool and negate someone else who does care...Why not just reserve making conclusions until you have the game in hand and make all of these assessments yourself?

Most of the people act like the normal people at EA have some sort of agenda to lie and be dishonest...Almost as if that's part of their job description...No saying that is you but the culture here for it to be more normal to hate on a game in a forum while lifting up another game with similar problems is almost absurd.

I am in no way suggesting people overlook their qualms and issues with the game but it really almost seems like the Madden forum exists to serve as a punching bag for every nitpicky complaint from people who probably never liked Madden anyway or just want to be one of the cool kids who don't like Madden...If I hated Madden as much as some of the people here I'd never even be in this forum after my first or second disclaimer that I detest everything about the game. So IMO if someone is on record as indicating they can't get by the animations or gameplay then its a wrap cause that's not going to change anytime soon...Why keep complaining?...Just move one and figure out that Madden has not been and likely will never be the game you want it to be. Not even if you complain because believe it or not more people like than dislike the game.

I feel like I'm Rex Ryan. The game always looks great on replays zooms but I never actually see this stuff in real time so whats the point of these videos? Its insane why we cant have a custom camera and play from some of these angles. EA better hope they get the rights again and corner the market or see there days fading away in this genre.
Honestly EA would be still making it. IF EA didn't have the rights to the NFL then other companies could make the game as well. In the past other companies share the rights to the NFL. But EA got greedy and bought it up completely to keep 2k from making it anymore. Even if EA did not renew the rights after 2014. The can still make NFL football games. EA would just have to give the NFL certain % of the profits. Then that would open a chance for any other company to make another NFL football game as well.

Well, I did, and I see a whole lot of repeats. Vikings fan #69 appears 7 times. Vikings fan with the purple collared shirt appears 5 times.

Still no sign of women, children, or elderly people. Just 20 to 40 year old males.
It looks like there is less than 10 people there, they just repeat them. No diversity whatsoever. Look at that guy with the yellow hat on the right side of screen. There must be glitch in the matrix because he's right in front of himself and I see him 7 more times as well.

Oh we have every right to complain when Madden is the only NFL football game to choose from. Its frustrating when football is your favorite sport and its the worst pro sports game out. Maybe you can accept mediocrity, but smart people don't accept or support a game when we know it should be way better. So as long as Madden remains a mediocre title and the only Nfl game, they will feel the raft of our complaints.

I check these forums to see what kind of game EA is putting out this year. Because I seen about 6 different version of Madden NG since the E3 reveal, typical EA Sports false advertisement BS. Since '95, I''ve put plenty of money into EA's pocket and they are still living off their past successes. When the game gets old and stale, I have the right to complain. You seem ok with being lied to, as long as the online servers work fine. But news flash, the online server is the best thing Madden has going for it, because the player models, animations, and gameplay are GARBAGE. Do you honestly think they've been working on this game for 2 years like they claim?

If EA chooses to purchase a license to stop any other company from making a NFL game, then we as the consumer should complain until they make a game worth charging us $60 for or give up the license. But what do we know, we're only consumers...

Rex Dickson Confirmed this on a podcast within the last 2 weeks, true-step is active when the user is running the ball or the user is controlling a defender, and it also applies when the CPU is running the ball. So, yeah, it is a fact. In the podcast he said for awhile they were thinking it was just going to be only the user ball carrier, but the team busted *** and got it in for user defender and CPU ball carrier. He also said that they would like to have all 22 players using true-step either next year or the year after
