It's a big deal in my book too, but I'd rather Madden put out a video or a trailer and see if there is a difference.

There so much confusion and conflicting info going on right now.

I thought they were releasing video for war in the trenches, AI and Living Worlds. To my knowledge, I've only seen war in the trenches from Madden.

I'm waiting for that, if that doesn't happen, I'll jump in and say my piece.

We are 10 days away from release and we have only seen war in the trenches. That might be very telling. If what we have seen in the latest video is what living worlds is going to be in the final build well then I don't expect to see a living worlds or AI blog. Because they probably can't live up to the promise. Kind of like true step being only true to a couple guys on the field. So if true step isn't so true and living worlds aren't so alive then I can't imagine AI being as smart as they were first claiming.

This is not an attack on you. What I bolded is the mentality that derails every thread. Those games have solidified their footing according to you. Madden is not a "good" game according to you (and many others who browse this madden related forum). You say that statement as if it's fact. When it's not. I know plenty of ppl who never visit this forum who think this years madden is best yet with physics and Oline improvements. If its sales that determine the perceived quality of the game then Madden is up there every year. Someone will inevitably say "ppl only buy it because they have no choice". I see ppl saying stuff like "if you like Madden you embrace mediocrity". That is an opinion it is not a fact. There are plenty of flaws in this game no doubt, but 8 pages about 2k and Mlb the show aren't making it any better. I just see alot of wasted motion that would be better served harassing EA corporate everyday or something.

Their own developers have acknowledged this. Why do you think they are constantly talking about changing the game down the road to a more sim experience. It's well known that Madden does not do a good job in portraying real life NFL football. Whether a person enjoys their game or not can be argued and changes with viewpoints but, whether Madden properly simulates the fundamentals of football cannot, it's simply fact that it does not. And what you fail to realize is that this is supposed to be a simulation football game that emulates what you see on Sunday. If the game doesn't do what at it's core is supposed to do what does that make it?

Well the good thing about EA is you can speculate about Madden and usually nail it on the head. They are pretty predictable. We have always used the old build excuse for Madden and it usually is always in the final build. With that knowledge and seeing the "living worlds" in this video we can see it's far from what they claimed it was supposed to be. I know it's speculation, but I am confident that this is probably what it looks like. EA has given themselves this reputation. Hopefully they can fix that this coming generation. However, from what we have seen so far it doesn't look good.

I hope so too man. I want to be wrong more than anything, but history makes me think differently. Although I'm sure they will release the videos. I just think they will probably disappoint. That said we have 10 days left and 2 videos they should be releasing. I'm not sure the hold up. Doesn't make sense to be this close and not have videos of these features when we were supposed too.

Understood, the wait has been difficult.

Everyone was saying the same thing when the MNF videos appeared and then, all of a sudden, out of the clear blue sky, the war in the trenches videos appeared.

It can happen. Will it? Time will tell.

I think we are splitting hairs but nonetheless... sure it is my opinion about madden compared to other games. fine. but if you can honestly say that Madden and numerous other EA games are to the simulation quality of MLB & 2k then I implore you or anyone else to explain how they are..

While my opinions are not facts.. the flaws in every madden game for the last 8 years are facts. Them not being able to replicate realistic movement is fact. Comparing GTA's failure at launching online.. vs the numerous flaws in madden isn't an even argument on any level

Why is there emotion on the players? AP is running and looking like a lifeless zombie? I mean in other basketball game, Lebron dunks and you can see the excitement on his face. Here, the players look bored, and emotionless. If AP is on a long run, he should be huffing and puffing like someones chasing him. Not just staring into space.
