LOL no that had nothing to do with M15, that conversation was about that rep and his hands on experience with M25 next gen. My optimism for M15 comes from someone I trust and who has seen the plans and a preview of the M15 game in person and regularly talks to Rex and Clint, I'll leave it at that.

That makes my point even better then. That small piece of information is what led to your Madden 25 Next Gen is going to "blow us away" tirade???

Now we have to read 1000 more breathless posts about Madden 15 blowing us away based on third hand information and mostly based on Rex and Clint's PLANS.

Then you'll see they were only able to get a small part of their plan and/or vision in for 15 and you'll start the whole process going for 16 based on some exciting little tidbit/rumor/speculation/3rd hand information/hearsay. It will never end.

The million dollar question is " Just how many development cycles is it going to take"? We were told 13' and 25' was setting them up to be ready for NG and now we are already talking about 15' and 25' isn't even in our hands. Before 15' ships we will be talking about what they will get right in 16' and bla bla bla bla bla.... I really appreciate the new guys efforts but this is a dryer that continues to go arooound and arooooound and arooound.

JP is the voice of one crying in the wilderness. JP has a lot of heart and I personally appreciate his enthusiasm. It's encouraging!

It is impressive what NBA next gen did and built it from the ground up. I'm not sure that we can compare the two at every level though.

In the NBA you have 12-15 player models per team, in the nfl you have 50-60 player models per team, you have 15-25k fans in NBA stadiums vs 70-100k in the NFL.

I think if 2k made a soccer game that would be a better comparison, especially with the stadium size. The NFL and football in general is just much more detailed than basketball and there's a lot more happening at once.

That doesn't take away from what NBA 14 team accomplished, I'm just saying its at a much smaller scale.

What does crowd size have to do with player AI or off season depth? As fare as on field, you really have a difference of 10 vs 22, not 15 vs 53. It does take more power for AI calculations with 22 vs 10, but the Basketball game seems to play twice as smart as the football game. Plus the depth outside of the gameplay is much better in the basketball game. On the PC, that basketball is gorgeous, both looking and playing. Madden 25 on PS3, not on par, especially off the field. I mean, the basketball game doesn't make me feel like I'm putting a quarter into an arcade machine. Madden, especially with the building up XP and buying packages makes me feel like I'm throwing quarters into a machine.

It's not the same game as current gen, people need to get off of that. If it isn't what you want fine, but don't sit and talk about how EA lies and do it yourself.

to me, what matters is that i think they understood what's important.

imho the fact that they are focusing on things pretty related to real football like steps, line plays and stuff is the correct way to enter a new era of gaming.

I would be on board if the steps weren't so minimal. It seems like they only worked on a small subset of the game, and the stuff they worked on was minimally implemented. Only 1 or at most 2 of 22 on the field get True Step? How do you implement a feature this way?
