Sage you know me, you know I'm not suggesting that the suits are sitting in meetings suggesting these things....Yes, I know the things that are wrong, and yes, I agree that to you and me, they seem simple.
My thought is those things are the result of the opportunity cost of the teams having to focus on other things that they wouldn't have to if we were indeed focused on getting a true game of football.
For my job I have sit in on enough meetings with higher ups (who have never been exposed to what they are making the decisions for) who sit around because they have nothing better to do and come up with all these "great ideas" that when implemented cause nothing but problems.
It really is not that far fetched to believe.
