Re: MLB 14 The Show - Carry Over Saves to Future Versions, Generated Pitch Counts & M
Honestly guys, why would it be mandatory? I don't understand the minds of gamers at times. It's SCEA. It's always an option.

Don't include everyone since I was the problem on that one to begin with. I was too lazy reading all the article and I answered with what I would like not what it was suppose to be.
I agree with the fact that SCEA is trustable on that matter and don't make things mandatory most of time. If that was the case, they would lose the SC in front of the EA.

The concern wasn't it would be mandatory but it would replace the current method of speeding the game up which is fast play. Russell confirmed fast play will remain an option.≡Comment

True. But I think We all know by now that SCEA does not remove features people use. They only add new ones and keep trucking along.
One of their best qualities.

Sounds great but I like stealing bases on specific counts. That eliminates my wanting to ever use generated pitch counts. For generated pitch counts, essentially you cut your game time in half.
Instead of playing pitch for pitch, which takes forever you can kind of play at-bat to at-bat. So instead of always starting out at a 0-0 count, you start out at a 3-1 count or a 0-2 count. It's randomized so you never really know what you'll get, but it helps for a good amount of walks and strikeouts.Comment

I think he was wondering what if you are 5 seasons into your franchise and Albert Pujols has retired. Will he all of a sudden be back on the Angels in 2015?
I assume the new game would port over whatever roster you have and consider that as being the roster you downloaded or created for your new game.Comment

Sorry, that wasn't suppose to be quoting you. I'm new and that was a mistake.I think he was wondering what if you are 5 seasons into your franchise and Albert Pujols has retired. Will he all of a sudden be back on the Angels in 2015?

Will it ever generate a 0-0 count?

Re: MLB 14 The Show - Carry Over Saves to Future Versions, Generated Pitch Counts & M
Yes
No
It's simple. GC means that you'll step up to the plate with a count already up there. It could be 0-0, 0-1, 1-0, 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 2-0, 3-0, 3-1
BOOM
That's it
You step up to the plate and it's 3-0...you then play out the at bat fully. No jumping around.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

I was just thinking how I never play Cactus/Grapefruit League games.
GPC's will now allow me to. More games played is always a good thing.

Why is there a "Generated Pitch Count" pros and cons mini-discussion? You are either giddily excited by its now availability (because we had the opportunity back in the day with ASB) and its randomness; or you prefer to generate your count in its purity. Options=Bliss!Comment
