Re: Madden 25 Next-Gen Living Worlds Trailer
without a doubt ALL of this is better than current gen Madden and I do like what they are doing but it could be a whole lot better and has been in other, older games.
Lol seriously? we are going that route? "ill be too busy playing to notice the details"
Um when they show you a cutscene of the crowd cheering, thats all you will me looking at. But hey, it doesnt matter. I'm not saying its a game killer or ruins the entire feature BUT it shows Madden is again missing almost all the attention to detail. Don't sell me living worlds/1000s of models in the crowd and I can point out the repeated 10 easily.
Do we all play and view the game the same way? I never really paid much attention to the cutouts after scoring, so, I doubt if I'll pay attention to the crowd after a score.
To each their own. For some people it's important, for me, not so. I'm more concerned with the crowd swelling at the right times, ie 3rd and short, interceptions etc....Comment

Re: Madden 25 Next-Gen Living Worlds Trailer
I agree with most of what you said, but let's be honest; if a "dev" has to go to a videogame forum for "stuff that can help" make his job easier, then something is very wrong.
I get it, Madden "devs" are human, but I still hate the fact that we know these people by name in order to humanize them. I don't care who is working on the game, I don't care what his name is, I don't care how many years he's been in the business, I don't care how many hours/day he has to work, I simply don't care. Just make a game that's actually worth $60. Enough with the excusesComment

Did marketing say 1000 different models?

But this nonchalant attitude about the details in the game is part of the reason the game is the way it is. What I am talking about is realism and immersion. I skip every cutscene I can usually, I'm just impatient. Doesn't mean it isn't important to the game. First you tried to defend not having ANY women models because Lambeu was all men in your section. Then you say who cares about whether they are blonde or brunette? Who mentioned anything about that? No one is getting that nitpicky.
This reminds me of the guy that says "I'm looking at the defense when I'm passing, who cares about the throwing animations." But hey, whatever works for you.
And if you watch the trailer it clearly says: "40,000 3D character models". Now maybe that means 40,000 3D clones.. IDK. But it sounds a lot like when they say they added hundreds of new catching animations and you only see the same 5-10.Comment

Re: Madden 25 Next-Gen Living Worlds Trailer
i agree with this. i would rather they focus on getting the on-field game to look and play naturally, and just have the atmosphere feel organic (sounds, commentary, etc.) than have them worry about the appearance of diversity in the stands. once they have a great game of football then they can worry about things like that.
If this was the Oline interaction trailer I would't be calling out the crowds in the background.Comment

I am more concerned with that as well. Like I said, the most important thing is the crowds reaction and thats all audio engineering. They spoke about it in that podcast and i look forward to hearing.

2. The blondes vs brunette thing was meant as a joke, but I guess, on a messageboard, it's difficult to tell.
3. The look of the crowd has not been important to me in all the years I've played sports games. That doesn't mean it's not on someone's priority list or radar. Just not on mine.
I skip through cut scene's too or I'd be playing a game close to two hours.Comment

1. Again, I didn't say no women, I said 85% men, which leaves about 3 or 4 women in our section.

I know you were joking but the joke but its a sarcastic one based on premise that someone is being overly nitpicky about the crowd.
I agree. The look of the crowd has never been on my "madden wishlist". But this is the living worlds trailer, so I looked at them.
I like to play full 15 minute qtrs so i don't mind the time thing but I just am anxious to get to my next play lol. That and usually it's the same handful of cut scenes. I don't need to see the water boy for the 15th time in a game or that lame "coach is mad at the guy who got the penalty" one.Comment

Re: Madden 25 Next-Gen Living Worlds Trailer
I only skip through the cutscenes because they're terrible. I love presentation, but I can see why people button through everything on Madden. The effort is minimal. If they don't go real time next year, I'm not even gonna think about opening my wallet.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: Madden 25 Next-Gen Living Worlds Trailer
I think they improved just enough to make it in as the sixth game i pick up but only because there are 4 games I really want and 6 for the price of 4 is better than 4 for the price of 3. So I sum it up as they improved enough for me to add them as my free game, but in no way would I spend $60 on it.
All that being said if they have not fixed the repeating draft class issue that broke current gen for me then I am going to go into my back yard pick a nice piece of dog poop, put it in the Madden case and return it to them at my expense.Comment

Re: Madden 25 Next-Gen Living Worlds Trailer
i think what hes saying is that devs go to forums to see what the most talked about things are that fans want to see fixed. im sure they have a laundry list of things that they know need fixing but i would imagine in a lot of cases they want to see what the most pressing things are. but when all they see in every thread is "i dont like this game i like game x better" then why would they bother? theyre not getting any useful info from that. Please, read my story & learn how you can make a difference here: https://life.indiegogo.com/fundraise...her/x/12104444

One thing I will point out, is the Game Changers website. I think that interactive sidelines was the number one thing on there. I think number two was footplanting, so it does seem like the ideas on that website are a high priority for them.Comment

Re: Madden 25 Next-Gen Living Worlds Trailer
The notion that just because some gamers don't want to watch real time presentation elements like personnel changes, celebrations, motion shifts, audible/no huddle transitions, refs throwing flags, instant replays, etc, play out, then they shouldn't bother playing out at all, irks me. Just give those gamers the option to either disable real time presentation altogether or the ability to focus their attention/game play view onto something else with a button press, while still allowing those things to play out. However, I believe basic concepts like that get passed over in Madden because of the overriding perspective of "this is just a video game". smhComment

I notice people hark back to how things went when Ian interacted on OS about Madden and going back to look at it, I think that "mistreatment" gets blown out of proportion too. Again, this is a adequately moderated message board, where any blatantly offensive posts/posters are dealt with, no need to avoid the boards entirely. Chase B and DCEBB have carried on entire Madden threads where the interact with OS about their personal work, even with those that disagree with it, without taking their ball home.
It's like some people want there to be special rules for approaching Madden and those affiliated with creating it, that gets propagated at times. I refuse to accept that notion and hold Madden and its' staff to the same basic standard of other sports sims and their staff.Comment
