    Trade Scenarios

Post and discuss trade scenarios that you think will work either made up or via trade machine on espn.com

As Knicks fan I'm really frustrated with our play especially with Melo's and Felton's play. I really think we need to make some trades that'll help us compete in the east. So I came up with plan (A) three-team trade (approved by ESPN trade machine):
    Knicks: Dragic/Plumlee/Batum
    Suns:Amare/Felton
    Trailblazers:Okafor
I'm really not feeling Felton as a true point guard as Dragic is much better and can actually shoot the three better and Amare is done to me ( I know he's trying his best but we need to let him go) while Plumlee has shown good signs at PF that I think would help us on offense. Then with Chandler out and the Knicks having to revert to small-ball Batum could really help out with his defense and his ability to shoot at SF while Melo is at PF.
Or/ and make a trade to get Pau Gasol to add variety to the offense with his post presence instead of shooting and dunking all the time. Does this trade make since or no?

    Lemme get this straight.

Portland gives up a pillar of their franchise in Batum for an aging, average big man in Okafor? WHY

Phoenix gets rid of a fantastic point guard in Dragic, a young big in Plumlee, and a guy that they literally just traded for in Okafor, to get an inconsistent point guard in Felton and an aging, extremely injury-prone Stoudamire?

If New York were to EVER pull this off, and the other teams are clueless enough to fall for it, they deserve it.

      Re: Trade Scenarios

Trading Okafor is their only option when they get two big contracts like Felton's and Amare's and Okafor's was 14 mil so they would have to. Plus Phoenix already has Bledsoe at PG and aren't they trying to tank for wiggins? Then again it's just an idea don't kill me

Phoenix wants to get younger and have more cap space.. No reason to add Felton and Amar'e.

And Batum for Okafor is ridiculously lopsided.

            Re: Trade Scenarios

Nope, without looking at cap space.

Off the top of my head.

Pacers trade Granger for Deng and Gibson. Bulls get a scorer other then Rose on the Wing. Pace get's another valuable defender, and a good big man off the bench.

Maybe risky, because of the recent injury history, but it gives the Bulls an immediate scoring option, despite Granger's inefficiency. Yes? No? Giving up too much?

Edit: the more I think about this, this was just off the top of my head lol. Probably too much, for a recently injured player, and a guy who's efficiency dropped before he was hurt. I'm just desperate to get some scoring in chicago man. Give me Batum, Aldridge something!!

Y'all should be target Rudy Gay. He's probably on his way out soon.

Most don't. Memphis ruined his game by trying to make him bulk up.

I would try to move Deng and land Gay and Lowry

Could make a move for Swaggy P. Hahaha jk.

I don't want Gay though, I remember when I wanted to construct a deal for Monta when he was in GS. But I've definitely cooled on that idea, even though I think he'll have a career year in Dallas.

Chicago just needs one more guy with scoring punch. Granger would be nice if his status was so uncertain, still think he's worth a gamble, although not sure I'd include Taj Mahal.

Grainger's gonna come back and be a 6th man. If the Pacers trade him it's to a team in the West. Knicks should just trade Melo and get something for the scoring machine--he's gone at the end of the season.

Not a specific trade idea, but do you think the Knicks could convince anyone to take on Stoudemire's contract for 2 years?

A friend of mine was trying to tell me that the Knicks were going to somehow swing a trade for Rondo, and the only thing that I could think of was that the Knicks would have to convince Boston that it's better to have Amare's awful contract for 2 years rather than having Gerald Wallace's contract for 3, and then they could do Rondo and Gerald for Shumpert, Amare, and some future draft pick (if they even have any). I just can't see a team agreeing to basically tank for 2 years like that though.
