Progressive lighting?
Anyone seeing progressive lighting? Seems like during night games at least the sun never goes down. In fact the sky doesn't seem to change at all.Tags: None -
Re: Progressive lighting?
I thought I was the only one to notice this, day games also don't seem to get darker either. -
Re: Progressive lighting?
Just played a dynasty game. Late afternoon start....shadows kept stretching across the field. By the fourth quarter, it was dusk and the lights were on.Comment

Re: Progressive lighting?
Same problem here bro. Night games never get as night as they should be...the sun is still usually in the sky even in the 4th quarter of an 8 PM game.
Testing it further, yeah I do think there needs to be some tweaks. The games that are supposed to be night are jarring when they are evening.
Take for instance the thursday night game of an east coast team.
Spoiler
It starts off with the sun firmly in the sky.
Spoiler
And while it does progress, this is what it looks like in the 4th quarter, a simulated 3 hours later.
Spoiler
As opposed to what FSU vs NC State early last year looked like in the 4th.
Spoiler
It seems as if the right looks are in the game, they are just assigned to the wrong timeslots. The 7 PM lighting/look should be for the 4PM/afternoon timeslot and the 9/10PM lighting/look should be for the 7/8PM/evening timeslots.

Re: Progressive lighting?
It depends on the stadium and time of day. Its very evident at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg. Ive also seen it happen at Oregon as well.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: Progressive lighting?
They have messed up the times for dynasty games pretty much every year. It's like they have all times based off the Eastern Time Zone. It is usually pretty accurate on the East Coast teams. But play a 6pm kickoff at Texas or USC, etc....it is like kicking off at 3pm or 1pm. It will never get dark.Comment

Re: Progressive lighting?
Sorry for getting of topic about how dark is should be. But during cloudy games, I've noticed that everytime I switch players, the sky would flash. It's quite annoyingFavorite Teams:

Re: Progressive lighting?
I go back to College Football USA '96.....so the versions are becoming a blur to me now. But wasn't there a version where the lighting would suddenly change between quarters?.....frankly that was good enough for me. But at some point did they get more granular? I am guessing that somewhere along the way, it got too complicated for EA to program and we get screwy results (I have felt this way about the weather in EA football for years).Comment

Re: Progressive lighting?
Rose Bowl games usually end late in dusk, but usually in complete dark.Comment

Re: Progressive lighting?
Also, the Rose Bowl has been starting much earlier in recent years. 2 years ago, the game started at 5 pm EST.Favorite Teams:
