I, personally, am really looking forward to play the game... especially if those "under the hood" fixes for CFM mean FIXED SIM STATS!

I've exclusively used online CFMs even for single player just because of the load time benefits since it's introduction.

I believe you about the load times, but it just seems counter-intuitive to me. Why would going over the internet be faster than straight off the HD? Just makes absolutely no sense. Again, I believe you since you must have done it both ways. Just saying I'm baffled over it.

Concerning line in Kotaku's PS4 review:

"We've checked out some multiplatform games like Assassin's Creed IV and Skylanders: Swap Force and marveled at their graphics. We've popped Madden in and wondered if we were looking at a PS3 game."

I guess that explains the lack of gameplay vids. Just like the ESPN MNF game previews. Can't really tell the difference just by looking at it.

Clicking advance is instant rather than my console simming every game and whatever other housekeeping it does before having to upload it to the server and/or then autosaving. Really one of my favorite parts of CFM, of all the big name features this small thing is so impactful. You don't even download a franchise file or anything, it's nice.

              Anything concrete on gameplay yet?

I haven't been able to check the forum today until now, not sure where to start?

                Nothing concrete.

Only that Madden has a review embargo until 9am Friday while FIFA has already been reviewed by multiple sites. Take from that what you will.

How does that make sense? By that time people will have already been playing Madden.

It's not abnormal for games to have a review embargo until some time on the release date. Occasionally even really good games do that. It doesn't look so good however when virtually every other launch game has been reviewed and/or has multiple live gameplay videos all over the internet when this has nothing except produced trailers that show virtually nothing.

Re: Madden NFL 25: Hands-On Impressions from Polygon

Very few "good" games or games that the developers have confidence in do this. You want the review out before the games launch to get those that are on the fence to purchase. Having an embargo that restricts reviews until the day the game drops is shameful, same with not showing actual gameplay videos.

It gives the impression that EA has something to hide with Madden, similar to what they are doing with NBA Live in EA isn't giving reviewers their copies to review until after the release date. Its like a movie that won't screen for critic before opening night. It is not the actions of a company that is confident in their product.

                        Wow.

I am not gonna go all Chicken Little but the embargo thing is definitely insanely suspicious/not a good sign.

Oh well. It will be my NFL fix this year....

If it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck.... well you know the rest.

I have a copy of madden for the PS4 coming tomorrow and I may just leave it sealed until I see something.

Frankly this is not something you do when you spend a considerable time last year pimping your new engine for next gen and how advance it was.

It makes perfect sense. If the reviews come out and the game tanks you have to assume that 2 or 3 out of every 10 people that have played it by that point might not have bought it if they had seen the reviews.

I would not think anything of it except that they let FIFA be reviewed. Its like they threw the attractive kid out to show off their bloodline and are leaving the snaggletooth kids in the basement until after the person marries into the family.

Even though I have the game sitting here in front of me, I am concerned with there being no reviews or videos....

I have 6 games sitting on my desk in my office. 5 of those 6 no longer have shrink wrap on them.
