New Update: You can do this with a workaround:

I just tested it and Couch Co-Op is only available PRE Patch. I deleted all of my updates/installation and reinstalled it and started it w/o the update and once your in the GM/Season mode start the game. Once you get in-game pause it and you can select sides for Co-Op...

Kinda crappy work around but it's better then nothing I suppose..

(You have to go on your PS4 settings and turn off Auto Updates or it will continually Update your game for you, and that's a problem since the Update disables the ability to Co-Op)

I've seen this asked in numerous threads so rather than answering each one I thought I would just start a new thread with the hopes that everyone see's it.

Initially, I thought that you wouldn't be able to, however there's a trick to it. All you have to do is enter the game, pause it and go over to the Choose Sides option. From there simply move the controllers to where ever you want. You can play with someone, against them or watch the CPU. You will need two controllers to do this.

I apologize if this has already been addressed.

Wait so MyGM is just like Connected Careers in Madden? Great.

CPU vs CPU players are slowly getting phased out. I have two controllers but I should NOT have to use both just to watch a game.

Surely 2K saw the complaining going on with Madden and the inability to do CPU vs CPU without some ridiculous workaround right?

Oh well. One positive is that at least I won't have to "create a character" just to watch CPU vs CPU if I want.

I think was wrong about the CPU vs CPU games needing 2 controllers. You should be able to move over with just 1. I'll verify tomorrow.

Me and my buddy went into GM mode went into the game and then paused it there is no choose side options.

Can you play with someone online against the CPU? I don't know why this hasn't been put in the game. Would be great to go through a season playing on the same team with a friend online. Thanks guys.

Well, Dammit. I couldn't sleep because of the two late night Red Bulls as well as the PS4 high. I saw this post and decided to test it again and I couldn't get it to do it again.

Maybe it's because PSN was down for maintenance or something, but I've been trying for two hours to reproduce it and I can't. I tried playing without an internet connection and everything.

There's no way to prove it, but I know for 100% certainty that I was playing MyGM. I only played one game before going to MyGM and that was Heat vs. Spurs that you can play while the game is installing. After that I started playing MyGM with the Nets. I used them, so I could look at their draft pick situation. The Jazz were the 2nd game of 3rd game of the season.

Sorry guys, I guess it was a fluke. A mod can lock or delete this.

Damn, I was worried this would happen...looks like I can go pick up current gen now so I can have the ability for couch co-op. Guess my first next gen sports game will be the Show.

Well I'm a huge 2k supporter but 60% of my gaming is done with co-op franchise once a week with friends. This is a no buy for me until its patch in or wait until 2k15. Until then i'll happily stick with current gen.

I'm guessing that couch co-op is available for quick game and maybe season mode? So it's weird that they wouldn't add the controller select screen in the myGM mode...it's like when Connected Careers was first introduced in madden. Maybe they can patch it in

Maybe you should think about changing the title of this before people see it and go to the store to buy it based off that.

Im sorry 2K, was jazzed and pumped for this game, but its simply too limited of a release for me. Most of my fun comes from watching games in franchise mode as much as playing them. This mixed with the fact that players cant be edited after starting MyGM and you have pre determined faces that can only come from draft classes (no create a player mode) means I will look for you next year on Xbox One.

Also, please drop that PS4 promotional crap, youre a 3rd party dev...keep it that way.

Wow this is crazy. I literally just bought an extra controller for this game. I've been playing coop franchise nba 2k for years. Hopefully it gets patched in like when Madden took the feature out last year and then put it back.

Just to clarify then...there is no cpu v cpu mode?

If so this is disastrous for me....not having the ability to watch any game from any team's schedule was bad enough - but no cpu v cpu on top of this is really saddening.

2K - please patch this back in or give us some hope by saying both these options will be back in 2k15!
