In madden, if you're playing the CPU, you rarely dominate them for four quarters.
They always seem to make a comeback of some kind, where their defense makes incredible interceptions or wide receivers make stupendous catches that turn what seemed to be a cake walk into a nail biter.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but it always seem to happen.
In this game, usually when you are winning or game is tied in the late going, there will come a sequence where the other team absolutely dominates.
They'll get off six, seven shots in a row, while your defensemen just stand there, watch the puck slide under their sticks, if they are not just skating into the boards completely out of the equation.
Your goaltender, who is maxed out to cover pucks, gives up rebound after rebound.
And when you do happen to corral a puck with one of your players, a pass to a wide open teammate is intercepted by a defender who came out of no where.
This usually continues until the other team has scored.
Sometimes, two of three times, as I had in a game between the Blues (me) and the Blackhawks. Chicago scored three goals on four shots in just under two minutes, turning a 2-0 lead into a 3-2 deficit.
I don't keep tabs on it, but I'm guessing it happens when you opponent has its top players on the ice and you're going with a fourth line or lesser defenders.
And while I guess that is possible, I have a hard time believing that it happens to the extent that it does.
