Is there a clutch factor setting anywhere? I looked everywhere. Was seeing some very questionable things happening.

It's a great playing game and it looks great. You can tell a lot of work was put into it. I'm really enjoying the gameplay.
The lack of create a player and facial edits is killing me though. It is never a good idea to take away control and customization from the gamer. Especially when they've grown accustomed to it. If I spend close to $70 on a game, I want as much control over my playing experience as possible. You can't even edit attributes in MyGM. Something you could do in Association. CAP probably didn't work or look as good with the new ecomotion tech, but you find a way. Put it in regardless. You improve, not remove. The legends that are in the game didn't have their faces scanned, and they don't look bad. The ability to create players have been a staple in sports games for years, and they removed it??? Just a very bad decision. I personally do not like MyPlayer, so CAP was important for me. Now even if I did like MyPlayer, the 20 something pre-modeled faces I have to choose from are hideous and I can't find one of those faces that comes even close to resembling me... so I'm staying away. It kills the experience. I don't want to play "MY" player with some other guy basically. If you're not going to allow CAP or facial edits, then give me more than 24 faces with better hairstyles and facial hair. While you're at it, scan a good looking dude or two as well... geez.Comment

My wife can't get me off this game! I did play the 97-98 Lakers vs the Grizzlies. Memphis NEVER doubleteamed Shaq one time! At half I was 12-13 with him by simply backing down and little half hooks. This was on default sim all-star settings.

re: NBA 2K14 Impressions (PS4/Xbox One)
Definitely feels better than current gen. AI seems to be better too. Looks gorgeous but we all knew that.
I do have a couple of issues so far, though. The menus are garbage. I understand why they changed them, but they need to go back to the drawing board again. Doing simple things like editing rosters is way more difficult and tedious than it needs to be.
Secondly, is anyone experiencing weird audio hitches? Not huge deal, but it's noticeable.Comment

re: NBA 2K14 Impressions (PS4/Xbox One)
The game on the court is great. It is totally different from Current Gen. AI is much more intense, but fair... Shot success seems to be tuned better out the gate; player quickness is more adequately conveyed due to proper footplanting mechanics... The crowd is more dynamic and the AI is truly more intelligent. Many more adjustments possible on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball and it makes a big difference. So much good to say about the on court action. The presentaton is also excellent. All that makes the bad in the game much more glaring and disappointing, and the bad is mostly due to the structure of the game and options available.Comment

This is the exact feeling I'm getting. I LOVE the gameplay and graphics. But they removed MANY of the little things we were all used to. Like post game highlights. Game track is still in so why not highlights. The menu interface has to be changed. It's VERY bad. Also NO LOCAL SAVES?!!? we can only save our custom rosters to the cloud. This has to change as well. I hate that there's no create a team or player. My player doesn't feel the same if you can't get him to look like yourself. Also I do like the fact we can overlap some of the accessories now, just not enough of them. Full leg sleeves but no socks. And what happened to the headband option it's gone (I think this was a glitch and will be patched). Again I love ALL the additions, but why so many subtractions 2K? Maybe after they get all the kinks out they can add these things to 2K15.Comment

re: NBA 2K14 Impressions (PS4/Xbox One)
Can someone please tell me where the option to buy VC is? I cannot find it for the life of me. I want to use the free $10 that came with my ps4 to beef my player/mycareer dude. Also, where can we change the length of quarters for my career?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!
EDIT: I found them both. I guess they put the options in while I was sleeping because I was playing all night and those options in the menu were not there. VC buying for MyCareer is currently down, although there is an option to purchase them.Last edited by patchwork; 11-16-2013, 11:06 AM.Comment

re: NBA 2K14 Impressions (PS4/Xbox One)
Well I completely deleted my install and reinstalled the game.
Fired up fine, played a game fine....then after the first quarter the audio glitched again. It keeps freaking out on Dolby Digital. Even after I quit the game I have to restart the PS4 to make the glitching stop.
Is anyone using Dolby Digital successfully? I'm using the optical cable. It works perfectly in every other game!PSN: JISTIC_OS

Love the Game, best B-ball I have ever played in any Video Game.
I lost the 3 times I played against the CPU, I gotta learn how to play better but Man the Graphics are Insane and the physics are stunning.
I ran into some Glitches though but overall the Best next Gen game I have for Ps4Comment

Tried Dolby, DTS and still have a hard time hearing any talking in Mycareer. And during the game I've moved all the sound sliders down and it's hard to hear the commentary.
The only game I have that has issues with sound, using a Sony HT-CT150Comment

re: NBA 2K14 Impressions (PS4/Xbox One)
I don't understand...everyone just seems to want to complain but doesn't have realistic expectations. They way I see it there are three realistic options and people are going to complain about any of them.
1) Last gen dressed up as next gen with ai and graphical tweaks and all the modes your familiar with. (this is what 2k did last gen and got railed on for and is similar to EAs football strategy this gen)
2.) New next gen engine that focuses on true next gen gameplay leap and sets the foundation for the next five years. Development time limits feature/mode set that can be included with initial release. (2K has taken this approach and similar to EAs approach last gen)
3.) No launch version and a year's wait to have your cake and eat it too.Comment

re: NBA 2K14 Impressions (PS4/Xbox One)
Like others have said the gameplay and presentation is amazing. It does suck that they have removed many things that are in current gen currently. I assume they had to because they created a new game instead of just porting the game. Hopefully everything returns in 2k15.Comment
