This is an entirely new engine. Try to sit back and understand what happened here.

2K took the time to say "we need to fix the on court experience because it's not next gen. We will do this knowing we cannot spend enough time focusing on several features."

2K could have plugged in current gen gameplay with updated graphics and called it a day. They could have also plugged in current gen features and called it a day.

They said no to all of that. They focused on next gen gameplay and one next gen feature: MyGM which for those not letting go for a moment to reflect, is one of those things people have been scratching for in Association mode for years. Not just current gen, but previous gen as well.

It's a sacrifice. We aren't giving 2K a pass. We are understanding that they aren't gonna just throw in current gen features. They are trying to make sure every feature is next gen.

Does it suck we don't have 30-team control or create a player? Yes. Most definitively and every understanding person knows that.

But again, 2K is not content with current gen features. My perspective on what they've done in 2K14 NG is: everything will be next gen.

I'm confident when they introduce create a player and 30-team control Association, it will come with improvements that reflect the current state of the game: next generation.

Gotta be patient. It's the reality of building an entire game from scratch.

Fine.

I just think that they could have used the time that they wasted on MyPlayer and MyGm and used them better. That is my issue. Those "next-gen" features are trash to me and thus not worth losing standard features.

What I meant by you guys not getting it was simply that you seem to miss the point that 2k wasted all of this time for, in my opinion of course, subpar features and that I think that simply making the lacking CAP they use for said subpar modes available to every mode, the ability to save to the hardrive and such aren't that difficult to implement. Lacking association mode I get, hell even having CAP I understand would be hard with the new engine but it's technically in the game. my issue is that the new engine excuse just isnt good enough as the stuff they left out is so simple. A New Engine shouldn't mean **** like saving to a harddrive or the basic ability to play CPU games in Season mode should be scrapped. Like come on.

I keep repeating myself because my view is being misconstrued time and time again. You see it as a sacrifice, I see that type of thinking as giving them an out that isn't legit.

But it's whatever, we will agree to disagree here. I am not trying to **** up the thread but my main point is being missed here. I am mad that 2k focused on garbage tier modes at the expense of things I enjoyed and I don't see the New Engine as being the reason.

the end
