Does 2K14 require PlayStation Plus?

I haven't followed the whole online discussions. So is Plus necessary to play Park, MyTeam and Quick Matches? If so, what happens if I don't have PS Plus?

anything online on ps4 .......you need plus...there are a few games you dont the free to play games....black light,warframe,DC

Ok, so what happens if you don't have PS plus? Are you unable to connect to the internet? Are you unable to open the MyTeam mode? Or are you just not possible to actually play against someone else online?

Anything that uses Online features cannot be played. Quick Ranked online, MyTeam, VC MyCareer, etc.

You're limited to offline versions of MyGM, MyCareer, and quick games.

Wow this sucks. At least it lasts for one year. I don't get why they're not putting it into the whole PS4 bundle and 50$ on the retail price.

Anything else I need to buy for a fluent 2k14 gaming experience that is not included in the game or the console?

Here in Italy some major retailers are including 1 year PS+ with the PS4 without any extra charge

I was under the impression that there was no offline versions of MyGM or MyCareer. Could you please clarify?

I have zero internet at home. None.

A different user on here told me that after disabling his internet connection, these two modes were inaccessible. If they are in fact playable totally offline, could you please tell me how?

I'm referring to the PS4 version, by the way.

I'm not really sure if you need an internet connection or not, but I'm prett sure if you don't have a ps plus membership you'll start a career without vc.

When I first got my ps4 there was a glitch that wouldn't let me online, I was still able to play my career, it was just a dumbed down version

Will MyGM, MyPlayer or MyCareer work without an internet connection?

All game modes work offline besides the obvious (online leagues, the park, online matches, MyTeam).

The PS4 and Xbox One however don't work if you don't connect them to the internet at least once to download the day one patches for them.

What you may have been told is that if you create a career in MyGM or MyCareer while you're online, you can't play them unless you're connected to the internet or risk them becoming offline only versions of the modes (which means you can't use online VC).

How do you tell if your myPlayer mode is online or offline version?

When I first started, I "think" I was only connected to wifi and didn't have PS+.
When I win a game, all I get is skill points to level up.

I have 1500 VC and today I tried running a simulation of myGM and it didn't increase my VC at all.

PS+ is needed for multiplayer. Single Player should be fine.

so if I started myPlayer without ps+ and got my ps+ after. Will myPlayer be converted to online version? I hope so =(

I was actually told that once the PS4's internet connection was disabled, MyGM and MyPlayer were greyed out and not available to play (unless I misunderstood him).

So if I get a PS4 and connect it online enough to update the system and the game (which I'll do at my parents) I'll be able to take it home and play MyGM and MyPlayer totally offline?
