I know there are a lot of rumors floating around out there. But I just want to let everyone know, every mode in this game is accessible and able to play offline. There are a few exceptions, NBA today feature of course, and any save that was saved to the servers before going offline.

Other than that, you can play quick game, my career and MyGM offline all you want

No, online and offline saves are completely separate this year.

Any save that you save online, cannot be played offline; But, any game mode is accessible to play offline

Maybe that's the way I would take man. Download the last decent rosters and desconect the console from the internet. Bye bye problems.

That's the thing, all custom rosters are saved to the cloud. So if you play any of these modes offline, it's gonna be with default rosters

So you can't download, let's say, the last official roster, once downloaded turn your connection off, and start editing it?

You pretty much have to be connected at all times to do anything with custom rosters

so when the 2k servers went down the other day and i was still connected to the internet, i lost the ability to play MyCareer and MyGM, could only do quick match.

if i have to 'unplug' my ps4 to be able to play 'offline' - at that point it is a pain.

so when the 2k servers went down the other day and i was still connected to the internet, i lost the ability to play MyCareer and MyGM, could only do quick match.

You don't lose the ability to play those modes, you just lose the ability to play the saves that you already made when connected to the servers.

Once you're not connected to the servers, everything you do from there is saved offline to your HDD

2k is up to something when it comes to rosters I feel like they are preparing us for custom rosters to be totally taken out of the game...because the logic behind this always online roster is plain stupid...and the fact that we will have to download the new 2k roster just to get updated jerseys makes creating custom rosters pointless until 2k is done with all their updates.

So if someone has been connected online for the duration of their ownership and is in year three of their MyGM career, and then they lose connectivity, they'd still be able to play MyGM, they'd just have to begin from scratch? Or are you saying they could continue with their three year MyGM but it'd just have to be offline from there on out?

I know that's probably a stupid question, I just feel a little lost.

You assumed right the first time, you'd have to start from scratch. Your 3 year MyGM would be saved to the 2K servers.

So, if the servers went down, or you lost internet connection, you'd have to start all over again with a new MyGM
