That fumble on the knee play is complete BS. NT started out a flat on offense. In the 2nd half down by two scores, QB speed option the qb fumbles the ball defender picks it runs for an easy TD. Gill fumbled the ball 4 times, losing two in his first start. He was accurate and 0 ints, but fumbles are as bad as picks. Defense did decent, forcing a number of punts and a pick but it was not enough as NT falls to the favored SMU 38-35. SMU's TE had his way with 10 catches.
