Do not buy VC

A lot of people myself included who has bought VC are having game crashing issues. I used the 10$ that came with the ps4. After buying and using the VC for myplayer my game won't load. I then deleted the myplayer file and now the game runs smooth.

I used the free $10 and had no issues... knock on wood! Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones.

There is no correlation between buying VC and the game crashing.

It's a brand new console and new game, things like crashes are bound to happen.

Been playing on XB1, no issues as of yet. Bought VC twice everything has continued to run as smooth. I'm sad to hear that you had such error with your new console. Keep gaming alive!

Do some research before commenting plz. Most crashes that have been happening right after people have been purchased VC. Then when the file is deleted game doesn't crashes again. Look through some of the threads and it's a common denominator.

The real reason not to buy VC is because, by buying it, you're telling 2k to keep charging you in future games for game features that you used to get included in your $60 to buy the game.

In another thread, a guy posted this link about this microtransaction trend in games. It really is worth a read.

In this grim vision, everything's for sale. It's blandly reminiscent of the excessively commodified dystopia of Philip K. Dick's Ubik, where everyday actions become a monetary transaction: where you rent your apartment but have to pay a little more to access your fridge, or find yourself scraping pennies together just to open your front door.

Are you sure the crash was because you bought VC, or you prematurely used it on your guy?

I'm like 90% sure that if you use VC on your file after you play the Showcase game, you'll be alright.

The crash occurs when your agent is walking down that hallway after the Showcase game, right?

That's the transition from the Showcase, to post-Showcase activities. I think a severely altered file gets hung up there.

I bought VC on the PS4. I've tried everything to get it to show up, new career, new myGM, and nothing. I emailed 2k support and no response. When I go to the 2k website and log in to my player, the VC shows up, still nothing on the PS4. Big waste...
