How is the franchise in this edition (ps4)? Can you import from ps3 somehow? Can you edit rookies? Essentially, how feasible is it to get a real draft class?

Options for draft classes. Real rookies
So to be honest, I really don't know much about this game, but I'm interested in buying it. I come from the ps2 era where I would play 5 or 6 seasons of ncaa, then have all my classes for my madden franchise.

Re: Options for draft classes. Real rookies
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you can't import to ccm.
Some guys put the rookies in to the FA pool but that isn't the Draft.

Re: Options for draft classes. Real rookies
Can you edit players names and attributes in ccm? Like for instance if I just let the draft happen like normal, could I just edit the game made rookies that get drafted into real players? Like just take the first QB drafted and turn him into Terry Bridgewater or whoever the top QB is supposed to be?Comment

Re: Options for draft classes. Real rookies
Wow, that's pretty bogus. That pretty much makes up my mind to not buy this game, I'm not going to play a franchise where half the players are fake in 5 years. Thanks for the responses.Comment

You should honestly just buy the game for the football game play itself."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Re: Options for draft classes. Real rookies
Eh, no thanks. While I do love a good football game, I only stay interested because it's cool to see how the league develops. Who leads the league in rushing, what bad teams become good and vice versa. Stuff like that. That's not gonna work if the players are make believe. I don't think playing exhibitions would hold my interest very long either.Comment

It's still quite fun they give backgrounds of players that are comin out of college gives a nice immersion however I expected a lot more fromEh, no thanks. Re: Options for draft classes. Real rookies
The simplest option, which works in other games very well, is to allow us to make our own draft classes. Doesn't infringe on amateur player rights and makes large and vocal contingent happy. If you can design your own class, then you can't be upset about draft classes right?Comment

Re: Options for draft classes. Real rookies
Hell, I'd be happy with a "random draft class generator" like it used to be. At least then, you could play in an online league without that 6th round "sleeper" magically being drafted in the top 15 by that same dude who went 16-0 lol.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

Re: Options for draft classes. Real rookies
So the rookie classes being fleshed out by EA seems kind of like the same idea as having EA create the team names/uniforms etc of a franchise if you move them. They are taking control of these aspects of the game in the name of trying to create an immersive feel that they couldnt do if you created your own team.
But my question is why not just allow for modifications so that if you start editing a player or a team for that matter you simply disable the game from announcing certain things. So phil sims wont be able to make some comment about a player or something specific about the team. I would give up that miniscule immersion piece for more control over my franchiseComment

Re: Options for draft classes. Real rookies
yes this is correct, i have heard about a league doing this, they downloaded a roster ( that was edited and had most of the incoming rookies in FA pool not on teams) uploaded the file when starting the league, then did a "draft" if you will , based off teams overall rating from lowest ( 1st pick) to highest ( last pick) , and maybe did a couple rounds like that , before actually going to play games. So it is possible, just gotta put in some work to do it.Comment
