Did next-gen 2K live up to your expectations?

I'm getting it at Christmas and I'm hyped.

Yes, but only because I'm not into creating rosters or controlling more than 1 team. I play MYTEAM and MYCAREER. If you're a customizer, you'll be let down terribly! If you just like to play basketball, you couldn't be more excited!

From a gameplay perspective it exceeded my expectations. As far as the whole game goes it met my expectations.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

The menus suck, glitches/error codes/vc are killing this game for me, if it wasn't for the stellar gameplay I would of quit a long time ago

On the court, it went above and beyond anything I expected, the best basketball sim to date by a long shot.

But as far as modes, a HUGE letdown. I've been playing MyCareer the most (and I never play that), because of how broken MyGM is, and how little effort was put into Online Leagues.

I am very disappointed on the small effort put into Online Leagues, a huge step back.. This is supposed to be a next gen videogame which means there should be improvement, they were going in the right direction! Hopefully 2K surprises us in NBA 2K15.

I love the gameplay, but the menus are horrible and just confusing don't understand why menus couldn't have been the same as PS3/Xbox 360, and loosing the ability to save rosters and use them in MyCareer and all the other customization options like create a player took away from MyCareer a lot!

2K's post release support has always sucked especially when it come to roster updates.

Yeah, this game is making me get a PS4.

The graphics exceeded my expectations for sure and the gameplay is good but everything else is a joke, main problems being with online and customization as others have said. It's not worth buying a new console over.

Exactly this. Well, player control is much better too. Less slipping and sliding.

Not so much. The graphics are good, guys are a little too shiny at times. Player movement and control is good, most would probably say much better than current gen. The menus are not intuitive and the manual only has player controls. You will basically end up pushing buttons to pull up sub menus. The VC is my main gripe, it is hard to come by, everything is expensive and buying it is also much more than current gen. (I played the360 version up to the next gen release.) I have played several hours of My Team, and still have my original players, ugh!

This game is terrible online. The responsiveness of the buttons pressed is hilarious slow. But of course the problem stems from the very core of the gameplay which heavily rely on animations to execute plays.

Not only that...but there is so many glitches online...it's not even funny. Player wide open for layup and getting blocked...really? Players in position to get rebound and boxed out and still got outrebounded lol. Player wide wide open to receive pass and the pass was out of bound even though there is no defensive pressure lol. It's not funny cuz it seems it's randomly generated. CPU stay out of bound to receive wide open passes lol. Nobody can make shots online lol.

I feel like my skills as a basketball player is being handicapped and that's very insulting to me. I had to play a game that dictate how a player should play rather than the other way around.
