your dynasty in life
Just caught myself at home watching the South Alabama game online today. Was wondering if anyone else found themselves following a team who may not be a team normally followed you catch yourself paying more attention to because you get attached due to coaching them virtually.Tags: None -

Re: your dynasty in life
Yep. Has happened with Kansas State, Army, and UTSA.
Especially with UTSA. I love that team.

Re: your dynasty in life
Playing as Florida State in the Long haul OD has got me pulling for the Seminoles this season.
Definitely have noticed the effect, haha.Comment

When I used Army I liked to watch their games and compare my coaching style to theirs.INACTIVEComment

Re: your dynasty in life
I started a dynasty in ncaa 08 a few years ago with the Maine Black Bears. I have been following Maine football since then, even though its difficult to watch their games since they are an FCS team.Comment

Re: your dynasty in life
I consider myself a pretty big Wyoming Cowboys fan at this point. All started back on NCAA 08 when I started a dynasty with them. Since then, they are always my team of choice each year when I start a new one. This year I started following the team in real life, watching the games, following the stats, etc and its been really fun. I really wish I could visit Laramie someday. To experience War Memorial Stadium in person would just be surreal no matter how many times my friend harasses me "they have no home field advantage", getting to see the field I have played and won hundreds and hundreds of games on the virtual football field in real life would be amazing.Last edited by BleedGreen710; 11-30-2013, 08:53 PM.Comment

Re: your dynasty in life
I usually pick teams that I have either ties with or been a fan with for a while. I play a dynasty with Michigan State and I've been a season ticket holder for 3 years and I actually applied and got accepted to Michigan State. I do a dynasty with Washington and I've been a fan of them for a while. Not a huge fan but when they're on, I'll root for them. I also do a dynasty with Wake Forest and I applied to Wake also.Favorite Teams:
Michigan State Spartans
Oregon Ducks
Miami Hurricanes
Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Central Michigan Chippewas (College I'm Attending)Comment

Re: your dynasty in life
Wow I was waiting for maybe 1 reply and then 1 reply laughing at me, But It just made me laugh rooting for the players today who I see daily on my game ( oops can I say that without being sued?)
I never noticed but I follow temple now for the past few years since i coached them in like 06. Funny how a video game has such an impact on us and sadly it was taken away just because two individuals hit their peek in college and were not talented enough for the next level, and unlike millions just lie them they had to find any way they could to pay for their next microwavable meals.

Re: your dynasty in life
I haven't really followed a college team due to playing them in a NCAA game, though I did become an Arsenal fan from playing them in Football Manager a few years back (though this getting off-topic). However I do often start seeing names on the scroll bar or watching the game and go, "Oh hey its <insert name>." Not sure if that counts?Comment

Re: your dynasty in life
Always, though it helps that I usually play with my team Georgia Tech anyway. But going back to NCAA 2004 when I played a dynasty with Big Ben and Miami U it made me follow not only the Redhawks for the next few years until most of the guys I was familiar with from the game graduated but also Big Ben and coach Terry Hoeppner (RIP) when he got hired at Indiana. I had an abortive Cal dynasty earlier this year (got fired after a 4-8 first season, the real team only won one game
) and just from that I have a big interest in seeing how the "Bear Raid" develops in the future, right now I'm running with Texas Tech and I'm sure I'll be following the careers of Baker Mayfield and Davis Webb.
