It was the other way around. If you haven't read Pecover V. Electronic Arts, Inc. (the Federal case that opened the lid on everything) you owe it to yourself to do it and learn the truth about what really happened, especially since it still affects us to this day.
The sports gaming media isn't going to ever report on it because they fear losing access to EA (although Kotaku doesn't seem to care and has been giving EA the finger all year), but the Federal docs are still available for anyone to read.
I laughed my head off reading EA's internal memos about what their competition was doing to them, and then I wanted to punch a hole through something when they laid out the info for approaching the NFL for an exclusive to stop their competition. Made me sick to my stomach finding out once and for all that we'd all been lied to for years about what really happened.
