Triple post - just want to be sure people see this. It looks like manually saving the CF when you're done with a week is the way to go, because when it came up to load the old save file, the one during the middle of a game, I pressed Delete instead of Resume, and then it brought me to a load menu and from there I was able to load my CF from where I had saved it manually.
